Camp body?

You really think he’s going to get cut? I think he actually sees a lot of snaps this year if healthy.

Bennie Cunningham-esque signing. You said yourself why he won't stick, he cant stay healthy and he's not young either.

Eh. I don’t see it.

Thompson is a very good pass catcher, someone Gruden and soon to be Dalton trusts and is a great locker room guy. He looks like he’s going to stick.

I see bald tires and mechanical failure.

That guy love I do!
jags needed a rb yes,but not one thats injury prone. Thompson has been hurt a lot more then hes played.
He's the back that the Jaguars needed years ago. I just hope that he has something left in the tank and his injuries/age haven't caught up with him. Jags do have a habit of signing players that are 1 season away from forced retirement. Still excited about this signing and hope we get the Chris Thompson that we saw with the Redskins.
He only needs to play on third down. Less chance for injury

Ahhh. The ol’ he’s hurt too much...well is he hurt right now? Nope...so we good

I once broke my ankle in the 3rd grade, and then again in the 9th grade.

I’m 38 years old and I haven’t broke it since. I was injury prone in 3rd grade and I’m 9th grade, but I turned out pretty decent otherwise.

Clearly your life is the exact same as a that of a guy who gets repeatedly tackled by large powerful men for a living.

I felt like a lot of his injuries in Washington were due to overuse. If he was just used on 3rd downs and obvious passing situations then he likely would've been ok. But when he's the most effective guy and is being used more and more on early downs to try and stress the defense and is the best option to move the ball; then the hits take a toll on his smaller frame. I think he'll be alright here, if he gets hurt/misses a few games then next man up, Ozigbo & Armstead etc.

Was this Washington's secret to success over the recent years?  Feed Thompson the rock.  Didn't they draft #2 this year?
It could be a good signing IF he stays healthy... Which is a really big IF.

History says he wont.

In the only season that he played in 16 games (2016), he only had 68 carries and 49 receptions (both are the most hes had in a single season in the NFL)... I'd hardly call that being overused.

Welp. This post didn't age well, lol.
and again we won't have to worry about him getting hurt this season cause thier won't be one. football will be canceld like all other sports. we won't have sports again until 2021 at the earliest if we are lucky.
Not even hating, But I’ve legit never heard of this dude. Who?

He's TJ Yeldon but came from FSU so he's gonna get the benefit of the doubt by some here.

[BLEEP], I wish we'd kept Yeldon last year. He was a fine backup for us.

Assuming you've seen very few redskins games since 2015.

All you need to know is that he has 5 years of  experience catching passes as a third down back - totaling 212 receptions for 1,772 yards and 10 touchdowns in the NFL.

He has/had the tool set to be one of the premier pass catching backs in the league and showed it for several eye popping stretches. Unfortunately he also has a long injury history and is now getting up there in age. Last we saw him it looked like he lost some of his explosion.

Considering our RB depth chart and the Gruden connection it was a no brainer to bring him in and see if he can recapture some of his prowess. Could be a nice piece if so.
