Not to mention the importance of the VP pick and also he will be pulled to the far left before it's all said and done.

With the economy on the upswing and the lawless left going insane,  I like his chances.

That's actually decent analysis.
Nice work.

I think you're correct that we're going to see each man launch new and surprising attacks on the opponent's record and past life events.  And Biden has plenty of stuff Trump can bring up that Biden would rather not discuss.

But I think all that effort isn't going to amount to much for either team, because people just don't watch TV and consume media the same way they did even 10 years ago. People are much more skilled at dodging advertisements that they don't want to see. You've got people tuned into media that's generally only going to give positive stories of Trump, other people tuned into media that's generally only going to give negative stories of Trump, and a way too small minority of people are tuned into news can go either way. The first group is going to vote for Trump no matter what, the second group is going to vote for Biden no matter what, and the third group might not even vote.

Ultimately I think this election is just going to be a referendum on Trump.  He'll get a share of the national vote equal to his job approval rating plus maybe 5 points. Right now that's not enough to win. Trump's got to ingratiate himself to the public more to have a chance.  But like you said, he still has plenty of time.

Rallies starting back up soon. Enthusiasm will return. Maybe you are right about TV, but Biden can't avoid a debate, and I think we can all agree he can only be coached so much. News cycles past fast. People have already forgotten Biden saying you ain't black if you dont vote for him.

Biden had been in politics for 50 years and accomplished nothing. Voters arent stupid. Well, most of them.

A description of the petition reads, “The use of city of Jacksonville for the Republican National Convention must be prevented. The damages incurred will take years to recover from. It would out weigh any financial benefits that the city could hope for. This convention will bring with it the largest protests in the history of our country.”
Its here.
Hopefully it is really hot. Put the protestors in Lot J and let them help demo it.
You know 2020's in bad shape when the best a major party can do for a convention site is Jacksonville.
Well shoot, I'll be out of town.

Maybe the plan is to have the domestic terrorists develop a new country in the middle of downtown and develop it.

Jacksonville has the worst inferiority complex.

Jax has a lot to offer outside downtown. Hopefully they do it somewhere more populated.

This town is never going to move forward unless it takes on some challenges.

Obliterate downtown and northwest quadrant and start from scratch.

We have had 15 years to fix the "hosting problems" exposed during the super bowl and chosen not to do so. It's kind of sad...

It's only the public part of the convention that's coming here, not all the endless meetings and stuff.  It'll be at the Arena downtown.  They only needed a place to hold the big rally at the end where they nominate Trump and he gives his acceptance speech.

We're not really getting the normal full convention, just the last part of it, so let's hope that cuts the down on the strain on local infrastructure, law enforcement, etc.

I'm keeping the car gassed up.
Usually the convention has many speeches over many days. The names get bigger as it goes on. There's usually a keynote speech by someone other than the nominee. The point is you get to see some "rising stars" or whatever. Are they doing that this year? Or is it just going to be a Trump rally?

Oh, yeah, I can totally see those two parts of town clamoring for an influx of 25,000 COVID-19 carriers into their backyards. Those places are NIMBY-ism at its finest.

The states largest hoax is how good the Nocatee area is. There is literally nothing there except houses. Whomever is responsible for the undeserved reputation Nocatee has gotten should be a billionaire marketing genus.
