Trump is tweeting that if any schools refuse to reopen, he will cut off their funding.
Whatever happened to local control of public schools?

Whatever happened to local control of public schools?
Quote:Trump, during an event with first lady Melania Trump on Tuesday, said his administration would “very much put pressure” on governors to reopen schools in their states in the fall.
“We don't want people to make political statements or do it for political reasons, they think it's gonna be good for them politically, so they keep the schools closed, no way,” Trump said after noting that the administration of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis recently announced plans to reopen schools in that state starting in August. “So, we are very much going to put pressure on governors and everybody else to open the schools.”
Quote:Meanwhile, the president also tweeted Wednesday morning that: "In Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and many other countries, SCHOOLS ARE OPEN WITH NO PROBLEMS."
"The Dems think it would be bad for them politically if U.S. schools open before the November Election, but is important for the children & families," Trump tweeted. "May cut off funding if not open!"

The title of this thread and the OP is mis-leading (just a friendly jab at NYC4J).
This is what was really said/tweeted by The President.
So The President is not going to "cut funds to schools that don't reopen". Rather he is threatening to withhold funding to states where some governors might be holding back on opening schools solely for political reasons.
Personally I'm starting to think that a lot of the "lock-downs" and forced closure of business is more political than anything else.

With all due respect, what in the hell took you so long? You're usually more astute than that.

Because the libtards want all small business converted over to the multi conglomerate and they want to keep the youth uneducated by closing all the schools. It's fairly that simple. All you need is a pair of eyes to come to such a conclusion.

You're literally [BLEEP] stupid. Is that the fault of liberals also?
