That YAC catch he had up in Buffalo in 1996, our first ever playoff game, was legendary. Mitchell’s was an average size TE but he wasn’t the fastest or the strongest but he would catch the ball clean. Man he went into Jeremy Shockey mode. I remember he caught that pass from Brunell and he rumbled and bumbled for a huge gain. The defenders couldn’t bring him down, it was like they were bouncing off of him. 

Hard to believe he only scored 11 TDs. I also remember he left Jax and went to NYG and then came back to finish his career in Jax.

Yeah, that's right about Pete retiring as a Jag. Those guys were bouncing off his force field in that game. Lol. 

I miss the good old days. When I moved back to the States at the end of '02 I didn't recognize the team. It was depressing.

I miss those good Ol days too. Coughlin and Brunell should have stayed longer.

I won't be surprised if Frank Wycheck doesnt have the most TD catches by a TE at Alltel, Everbank, TIAA Field. He ws open every time the Tacks were inside the red zone. Maddening.

Engram broke some records that have stood for a loooong time. I hope we find a way to keep him.

Evan Engram now holds the Jaguars record for a TE, with Mitchell, for most receiving yards in a game.

Really depends on how much he wants, but it will be difficult to afford him.

Jags will have about a $40 million cap hit for Kirk, Ridley and Zay. Another $10 for TE will be really tough considering how much money they have locked into OL and LB next year.

Great game but not a great year. Same as most of our pass catchers this season. Shouldnt over pay due to one big day. Would love to see this continue the rest of the season. Then you could say he earned it.

He’s earned it all season.. no matter if he gets it from us or not.

NFL Research: Evan Engram became just the sixth Jaguars tight end to eclipse the 100-yard mark and joined Todd Christensen, Kellen Winslow, Shannon Sharpe, Darren Waller, and Travis Kelce as the only tight ends since 1950 with 10-plus receptions, 150-plus receiving yards, and two-plus receiving TDs in a game.

If Engram finished the year right now, he would have the 4th most receiving yards by a Jaguars tight end in a season.  He only needs 28 more yards to move into 3rd.  He would need 182 yards over the remaining games to move into the top spot currently held by Kyle Brady in 2000.

I agree.  I've been saying this since pretty early in the season.

The way he played today was wild, and I hope it gives him some confidence and we see him used more prominently in the gameplans for the next few weeks because the guy has freakish athletisism for a TE, his issues always been drops. Today he has glue hands.

I just saw a stat.  This is the first time in Jaguars' history that a tight end has had a game with 100+ receiving yards and 2+ touchdowns.

Engram just went to the top of the list for players that need to be resigned.

He became the 6th TE in franchise history to gain over 100 yards receiving. Unbelievable what a QB and offense can do when the TE is involved.

There's no money. You won't have a defense. If he wants to be paid what he is worth, he won't be here because someone will pay him more. If he wants to be on a winning team, he will take a pay cut and some backend years that will never be paid.

Hopefully the team becomes a place that players want to be and sign for less to play on.

Just saw where 162 yards is the 10th most receiving yards in team history. And tied with Keenan McCardell with 5th most receptions in a game with 11.
