He's not grinding with his team mates in the heat so you know the animosity is building. What a shame it's come to this.
As long as he doesn't end up in Buffalo or Tennessee...

That casts some serious doubt about his report.

You don't trust Schefter?

We're not talking about the real Schefter.  We're talking about the fake Schefter.

There's a fake Schefter account and that is the one Lombardi re-tweeted.

According to 1010XL, Lombardi has named the team....the Jets.

They have the picks ....I would prefer them certainly...

Twits are going to tweet.  It's what they do.
Dilla now pointing out that there's nothing from real Schefter, Rapaport or himself. An hour after the first report.

Here's Lombardi's latest Tweet

Okay, so this one is real, hearing the team deeply involved is the NY Jets.....that's not fake news. does it happen? not sure, but they are trying.

Now he's not sure...... starting to have my doubts.

Yeah, he's tap dancing.  First there was a "firm offer" in place, as if it actually mattered that the offer was "firm."  I'm sure a lot of teams have made a "firm offer" of a second round pick.  Now he says the Jets are trying "real hard" whatever that means.  Trying real hard to get him cheap?  A dozen teams would be willing to do that, if the price was right.

It sound like a bunch of bull [BLEEP] to me.

ON THE OTHER HAND, if I was Dave Caldwell, I wouldn't mind these rumors floating around out there.  Some team might get panicked into giving us that first round pick we want if they think their opportunity to acquire Ngakoue is about to go out the window.
And now NY Blue dot reporter says Jets are NOT talking to Jags

My understanding is that the Jets are not involved in discussions dealing with Jaguars DE Yannick Ngakoue as of now.

This is getting comical.

I wonder if Caldwell is putting these rumors out there to drum up some trade interest.
I think someone got paid today for a tweet from an agent newly hired.

Had to get his name back out there to get interest back up since there was no interest at all.

I agree. Plus, his drivel doesn't make any sense. The pick(s) would come from another team and depend on how they finish, not us. So tanking wouldn't impact the pick(s).
Yea Lombardi also fell for this......

Hold out for a first round pick Dave
Silly question but here it goes; knowing that they cannot re-sign him this year, can the trading team put an agreement in principle for next season? Doesn't make much sense for a team to go after him unless it's for peanuts? Our best bet is to just hang on to him. Seems likely that he'll have to sign the tender and opt out due to covid 19.

Opt out period is over unless he doesn't want to get credit for the season or he gets covid or gets a family member to get it.

It is my understanding and I could be wrong about this.  If he doesn't sign the tender this season he can not be traded period.  I also don't think that he can sign then "opt out" due to COVID because he would still be under contract with the Jaguars next season although at that point he probably could be traded.

He's backed himself into a corner and each day that he "holds out" his price drops.  It's bad for the Jaguars because his trade value drops, but it's worse for him because his dollar value drops also.  Sitting out a season (although this is going to be a weird season) drops his value that much more.
Lol, 3rd rounder and gus Edwards. Terrible
I hope both yan and jalen go fly some kites in a lightning storm.....
