This is why I say the moderates need to step up. Democrats, by allowing these people to go unchecked, are destroying the fabric of this nation. Moderates can no longer tolerate this. You can't say Joe is going to fix it, when he won't even condemn it. Vote out the democrats, and tell them why. Stop watching news sites that don't show news. Stop indulging the thought police. Stop allowing our universities to be hijacked by social justice ideology. Stop allowing our norms to be set by the radical. Stop using their terminology. Crush big tech censorship. If we don't start cleaning up these institutions, things will only get worse. People on the right will start fighting back. So far, it's been with restraint, but if that damn breaks, it's not going to be pretty.

I don't like politicians as a general rule, but they should be able to cross the street without people attacking them. These mob tactics have to stop. People are becoming fed up with it. Unless the moderates stop straddling the fence and reject this outright, there are going to be more clashes like Rittenhouse, where people who wouldn't normally be there, go to protect others. Force will escalate.

It's one thing to defend yourself and your family, but to try and defend people you don't know or property that isn't yours? That is called vigilantism and it only makes things worse. No one appointed people "Joe Schmo" to come into a city with a gun and guard property that wasn't his. That is the job of the cops. Whether or not they are doing that job, is of no concern to us. That is to be evaluated by their bosses and no one else. Vigilantism only provokes. There is enough blame to go around on both sides. The left needs to stop their radicals from looting and burning and the right needs to stop their radicals from "patrolling" city streets with semi automatic weapons, because they wanna puff out their chest and play G.I. Joe.

Time was, if the police expected undesirables to riot in their town, they would formally deputize some of the men of that town in anticipation.  If you want to "help the cops", like, submit to their leadership and stuff...

-1000, this is the stuff of cowards. "If the government won't stop them, well gosh, we should just let them burn down the town! How DARE you think that you should defend people from the mob! Just give them room to destroy and maybe they'll leave us alone!" Cowardly.

The gameplan is for this to happen. The democrats tell the police to stand down because they know the protesters are violent. If the police push back, the violent protestors will attack the police and the police will have to use deadly force. If that happens, the democrats lose public opinion because the violent protestors attacked the police. By having the police stand down, the violent protestors build up their sense of entitlement and expectations that they can do anything they want. The violence builds to what we have now. Then regular people start taking a stand and that leads to confrontation. The violent protestors have gotten away with everything so they feel they can push around the regular person. That person stands their ground and some violent protestors are dead.

Democrats then use that to say right wing keeping the black man down and attacking peaceful sjws, etc. They won't win the PR argument in people who see what is going on, but in the stupid minds of a lot of people they will.

No, as there was a curfew in place at the time, it's called obeying lawful orders.
Jacob Blake would probably still be alive if he had obeyed lawful orders.
These cosplaying, open carry gun fetishists should also be held to that standard.

There is no game plan. Nobody has a game plan. Shadowy figures would not be able to coordinate messaging and action outside of official channels, without leaks. The Biden campaign does not have an official channel to the Kenosha police chief. The DNC does not have an official channel to the governor of Wisconsin. There is no way that meaningful communication between these figures can happen on unofficial channels without being picked up and leaked

If and when the time comes for that, believe me when I tell you that there will be 100's of thousands of honest, hard working, heavily armed and trained citizens that will gladly answer that call. Choose your side wisely.

If semi/large scale skirmishes develop these punk kids that have more than likely never offered a damn thing of worth to their country, family or community will be wiped out within days or weeks.

What you describe seems like a good outcome.  But I think it's unlikely.

Love will always conquer hate. Isn't that what the left used to say?

Love of country, in this case, will always destroy hatred.

Which part? The large scale skirmishes? Because nothing else I wrote is really even debatable.

Oh my god dude.

You are just being dense and obtuse.

I won't allow my city to burn down because fires spread. If I see an anarchist setting a fire I'm putting a bullet in his head because all it takes is one gust of wind.

You need to admit to yourself that democrats are allowing this to happen - they are literally telling the police to sit in their cars and watch, wait and do nothing. If the cops were ALLOWED to do their jobs, there wouldn't be a NEED for people to take drastic action. That's the plain truth.

You're part of the problem. You are no better than the left wing terrorists causing the riots. No one elected you to be judge, jury and executioner in cases that have nothing to do with you. It makes you look arrogant, entitled and downright unstable. Quite frankly, I got a kick out of reading some of the conspiracy theories on this board in the past. I always pictured some of the posters sitting alone in their underground bunkers, wearing their tinfoil hats so the government couldn't read their minds and watching 24 hour news feeds thinking they are getting subliminal messages from Donald Trump and Joe Biden, but now, some people are taking this to extremes. There are no conspiracies here. These riots are simply caused by entitled brats who play too much Call of Duty and think war and violence are just a game. The cops are limited, because they are over matched by huge crowds and know any actions they take are constantly monitored by cameras. No one knows what to do about the situation without escalating things even worse. There is no conspiracy. These are just human problems that have very complicated issues.

Agreed, but until that does happen, both sides need to take a breath and let the cops do their job without interference
It's hilarious to me how many of you right-wingers lack the self-awareness to see the hatred you espouse while condemning hatred.

moderates on BOTH sides need to step up. Our political system doesnt work, pure and simple. I admire the work that the Lincoln Project is doing, moderate Republicans saying no to Trump.  Obama has condemned university's who don't allow free speech, not to mention other well known left leaning people, particularly comedians like Seinfeld and Chappelle. Hell, Obama even didn't endorse AOC this year. So...I disagree with your assertion. I too do not like this attack by young kids at universities to stomp on free speech. However, I do like universal healthcare and that social security continues. Does this make me radical? No.
Back on topic, the best reaction to Trump's 70 minute snoozefest...

You're dangerously wrong.  Overwhelming force stops riots.  It's no coincidence that all these riots are happening in states or cities run by leftists restraining law enforcement.  At best They have a flawed doctrine that you allow the riot to flame itself out and let the criminals vent.  In reality, there is no shortage of antisocial lunatics looking to do their version of a purge movie.  It only stops when there is a viable deturance.  Every Democrat mayor/governor has the resources available to them to establish that deturance.  These leaders are more committed to snubbing assistance from POTUS than discharging their duty to protect the rights of their citizens.

As for private citizens. Before there were municipal police departments or a standing army, we had a "well regulated militia"
