30-28 Bungles win.

agreed.
Minshew's stat line should be something like 15/20 for 180 and 1 TD
James Robinson should be 30 totes for 180 and 3 TDs.

The Bengals spent big money on getting free agent NT D.J. Reader and their run defense is worse than it was last season.

Chark better be back. I really need him to play. My fantasy football team needs a kick start and I really think he'd show up big in this game. Based on how we played without him on Thursday, I think we better start reaching out to him regarding an extension. He's obviously someone we can't afford to lose. Let's get him locked in for the foreseeable future.

Well he's a heckuva player, arguably our most talented player right now. Hopefully he'll not be injury prone. To small a sample size to know yet.
I read somewhere that the Jags are like a three point underdog to the Bengals.

The Jags should win this game, but they may not. And I do have concerns about them going into it especially after what happened in Miami.

Jawaan Taylor and DJ Hayden had press conferences yesterday and they talked about ways that the team needed to improve going into Cincy. Some of the local media reported on them. Jawaan said the next two weeks are crucial. He says that the O-line needs to do a better job of giving Gardner a clean pocket. Jawaan said that the main goal of the O-line right now is improving the pass pro. He says they are looking to improve and are excited about the rest of the season. He also mentioned that James Robinson is a great lockeroom guy and that James trusts the O-line and Jay's playcalling.

DJ Hayden says that the defense has been focusing more on technique and fundamentals after the last few games. He's excited because he believes that the defense will play faster. He also mentioned that he needed to try and get an interception in Cincy to get things popping. DJ says he believes that the technique fixes will help the defense get rid of some of the nickel and dime stuff they have been unable to stop.

Here's hoping the team improves/tightens up, especially the defense. They really don't need to go on a streak of losing to bad teams.
Meh, at this point I think that the only "bad teams" right now are maybe the Jets, Giants and perhaps the Falcons.  From what I have seen so far I think that this Jaguars team can match up well with most teams... depending on "which Jaguars" show up to play.  I'm kind of "writing off" this last game to a short week and the awkwardness of the whole COVID protocol that they have to follow during the week.  I'm looking for them to come out and play like they did weeks 1 and 2.  If they do that they should win.

This.

I wonder if Dede will end up being targeted more in the upcoming game against the Bengals. Especially if DJ misses another game. In mic'ed up this past week against the Dolphins Gardner tells Dede that the team had did stats with Gardner and each of his receivers regarding targets/receptions. This was for training camp. Gardner told Dede that he was 15/15 with him in training camp. It seems like they had a pretty good connection in camp. I would like to see that carry over to real games.
Jay Gruden had his press conference today. He said that the team needs to do a better job of helping Gardner who he continues to be impressed with. He said there are still times they want Gardner to stay in the pocket. He also admits that he didn't call a good game plan for Gardner to be successful on TNF. Gruden said he thought he made bad calls on third downs. Gruden says he thinks they got too pass happy during the Dolphins and need to do a better job of providing balance. He says the offense has to convert on third and medium better and stated that Cincy's defense mixes up man and zone.

Also DJ is returning to practice today in a limited capacity and so is Quincy Williams. Jay mentioned how much the team missed DJ and how that affected the playcalling for the game. Jay also mentioned that James Robinson was the best offensive player in the Miami game and how the team will be depending on him.

Jags win.

Bungles O-line is criminal bad; don't think I've seen a worse one (they're going to get Burrow pounded and shell shocked to the point of ruin if it continues like this much longer).
Jags defense should finally get some pressure and sacks this game.

Bungles defense is also bad. Robinson should have a huge day. Jags should really focus on him this game.
Guys we gotta stay positive...

Burrow throws TD after TD lighting up the score board breaking every single rookie QB record.

107 to 13 Ben gals... we miss an extra point...
31-17 Jags
Seems so far we have had a Jekel-Hyde team. With all the new players do we know which version will show up? My guess is IF the Bengal's QB will make 4 or 5 bad decisions we may intercept 2 of those. This will give us a short field and tip the game our way. If not and the the team that played the Titans shows up we will lose a close one. If the guys who played Miami show up...I'll switch the channel or go fishing....Wink
I honestly don't hink Burrow is going to gash us like many expect. You have to remember that he's a rookie QB. If we give him some confusing looks and blitzes, he will most likely make a few mistakes. Although our personell is extremely lackluster, I think we can walk away with the W with decent defense and if our offense gets back on track.

This defensive line is bad too.  Jags are currently tied for 31st in the NFL...

I thought Josh Allen would either be double teamed all year or become a monster.   Neither has happened.   Allen has looked average with a few flashes so far this season.   The rest of the Defensive line seem to be allergic to hitting the QB.
I think this Bungles line holds against our paper bag defensive line and Wash's soft zone coverage.  Burrow is probably in for a career game. AJ green is going to look like Jerry Rice in his prime.

What on Earth could possibly compel you to think that Wash is capable of scheming confusing looks and blitzes?

Big Grin
Everybody talked last week about Chark being out. Let’s not forget Linder was out too and he’s out this week as well. That’s a crucial part of this o line.
Looks like Atkins is out on the Bengals side. This should theoretically allow us to get the run game going, but we will have to see which version of our line shows up.
It's their suck against our suck. Hard to say.
Bengals will be without Geno Atkins
Optimistic prediction alert:

Josh Allen racks up 5 pressures and 2 sacks today.
Minshew returns to form with 3 TD passes and JR30 scampers for 110.

Defense struggles but rallies late for a stop or two.
