Why didn't I choose a different team

I live in the UK, and only picked the Jags because my grandparents moved to Jax.

He mentioned them the first couple of months he moved there but I wasn’t into it. 9 years later I get into football so naturally pick the Jags, gives me something else to talk about with my Grandpa right?

Turns out it was only the first couple of months he had the interest and actually hated football. 

My Grandpa died a couple years ago and I flew to Jax for the funeral, was sad obviously, but also hard not to be slightly angry with him...

But Caldwell hit on that 3rd round pick that one time. Bite your tongue!

To toot my own horn, my football instincts are off the chart. I called for Caldwells job years before anyone caught on to what he is.

Caldwell is an excellent scout. Crappy GM. Analytics dont help and stacking on Coughlin sunk him too.

Why are you complaining? I'm sure the franchise is making a profit.

I would also like to challenge this oft regurgitated "fact" that Caldwell is a good scout. I do not think there has been evidence of that whatsoever.

He’s drafted some decent guys, its just that he and the team suck at everything else that comes after April

Dudes, I was at the game, and there's people still chanting "go defense" or "lets go offense" I was amused.

It's worth it to me. I'm pissed off more than I feel good about the team but I'll support them as long as they're in Jax. Guess that's what's meant by "die hard". Go follow the Steelers or Pats.

I will be taking a "sabbatical" as a Jags fan if this regime is still here in 2021.  Just don't think I could stare at the same car wreck any longer.
