Sometimes you have to be blunt to break through the stereotypes, such as this joke which was common many years ago (modified as the actual joke is quite rude):
There is a white boy, a Mexican boy, and a black boy who are all in the fifth grade. Who is the tallest? The black boy, because he's 18.
That T-shirt is a response to racism.
