Vikings got back slightly less than they gave us. Wonder if they knew they couldn't get a long term deal done.

Campbell and Yannick reunited.
I guess they knew they weren't making the playoffs and wanted to move him for something rather than letting him walk next year? Idk, still a weird move for a guy who was productive for them.
Yan must be so happy. From the worst NFL franchise to the Vikings to the Ravens.

Ravens just fleecing everyone. Jags trade a 5th for Josh Dobbs and Hyde but Ravens trade 5ths for Peters and Campbell. Then Yan for a 3rd.
For a 3rd (more like a 4th lol) and a conditional 5th? wow that's so cheap for an elite DE  Laughing Laughing
The perception that Yan is an "Elite DE" was squashed based on his time in Minnesota.

But I thought he was happy in Min.?
This is good news for the Jaguars. With Yannick on a competitive team, he will receive more national attention. This increases the likelihood that he gets voted into the probowl this year, meaning we will get the Vikings 4th instead of their 5th. With the competitiveness of the Vikings, it'll also be a high 4th at that, as well.

Did he ever say otherwise? I’m sure he was happy in Minny but going from 1-5 to 5-1 AND playing for your hometown would be pretty sweet.
Good move for Ravens. Low risk but big upside for playoff run. Just gotta pray Lamar doesn't snap a knee.

And maybe they luck out and get the hometown deal from Yan. Ravens don't seem like the type to vastly overpay.

That is indeed good news.
The second round pick may be in the thirties.
Are both picks in next year’s draft?
Lol, that trade is looking better and better. Almost feel bad for Yan. Someone has to want him right? He does get sacks.

He got out of Jax, went to the Vikes and once they realized they suck they sent him to a Superbowl contender.
If he maintains his sack projection, he'll likely get paid pretty well by either Baltimore or some other team in the league and possibly gets a ring.

Psssh... he wasn't traded because he wasn't performing, he was traded because Minnesota is about to be in super rebuild and with Cousins contract, they don't have the cap to resign him. The tried to get back as much as they could from a trade they made going all in on this year, imo.

Yep.
They're gonna be almost as bad as us.

We'll be picking like 33rd and 35th in round two. And then at the top of round 4 twice as well if he makes pro bowl.

From what I can tell, the conditional 5th that can go as high as a 3rd is for the 2022 draft. So for it to be a high 5th / 4th we will need them to be terrible next year as well. It is safe to say that conditional won't go to 3rd, since it requires the Vikings to win the Superbowl, but it only requires Yannick to make the problem for it to be delivered to a 4th, which is possible.

On a *completely* unrelated note, all Jaguars fans should be voting Yannick to the probowl.
As I recall originally ...he was hoping for the Ravens anyway.

I mean, he's 4th in the league in sacks right now

He's got the same number of sacks as the entire Jags roster combined.

So what ? His team was 1-5 just like the Jaguars...
One related thought comes to mind regarding the trade. The Jaguars are scheduled to play at Minnesota later this season. This is a game that could now have huge 1st Round draft ramifications for both teams.

But what if the ravens win the super bowl? Doesn't it become a 3rd? I am now pulling hard for them ravens lol
