OK .... we all know that a superstar like Lebron could singlehandidly dominate a lower basketball league (e.g. D League or Spain League) to the point where he alone could win a team a championship.

QUESTION:  Would a player like Lionel Messi be able to propel the Jacksonville Armada (currently in 11th place with 2 wins 7 losses and 5 draws) to a Championship?

If the answer is a resounding yes, let me take it to the next level.  Could he propel a bad team in the MLS (Houston, Chicago) to a Championship?

Is the talent level that drastic of a difference as you see with Lebron or someone like Gretzky showed?

It's different because football is more dependent on the team itself than NBA and NHL. In terms of skill he is in the same breath as them but its hard for him to physically impose himself the way Lebron can.

He'd make the team at very least a top 2 side.

I was kind of thinking the same thing.  He'd have to rely on good passes and somewhat talented teammates to make the most of his talent.  Otherwise, he'd get doubleteamed and while making the team a lot better, may not necessarily guarantee a championship.
