This. He better not screw up all the hard work we've made to get this far.

"Stink it up, kid. Make us proud."
Lol ! Love our enthusiasm. I completely agree with playing for the draft pick at this point LOL.
Mam i hope Luton balls out and pulls it out cause I would love to see the usual cry about a win lol

Kinda agree.
My money is on him looking like the proverbial deer in the headlights.

I used to be with you in this.
But we’ve had 1 winning season the past twelve years.
We’ve tried “soft” rebuilds. We did a full one on 2013 then tried half heartedly doing it by firing the coach but leaving a regime in place that delivered four straight losing seasons and messed us up at the QB position again. It’s time to blow it up. And khan will hesitate to fire people if any sign of “progress” is seen. I will not actively root to lose but I am no longer disappointed in it

I tend to agree with that. But Houston has a bunch of LB's out with COVID this weekend on an already bad D. If we can run it well, it might give the kid a chance.
So we are rooting for the back up QB to suck so we can suck enough to get #1 pick?
2020 is a hell of a drug

In the big picture of things, is 4-12 or 5-11 really that much better than 1-15 or 2-14? You're still a terrible team either way..
If you're going to suck, might as well go full suck and make it worth it. Give me a top 3 pick over pick 7-10 etc. Got a lot more options to play with, with a top 3 pick.

If the GM cant hit with a top 7-10 pick we picked the wrong GM. If we win 3 or 4 games the second half of the season most likely are young guys are getting better and showing improvement and that is a good thing imo.
He's the future of the Franchise!
(Until 2021 and we draft someone. )
Luton is trash. There is a reason he went in the 6th and if the Jags didn't get him he probably wouldn't have been drafted.

Wrong.
We're rooting for the backup's backup to do that. Clearly Glennon was too valuable in his role of Veteran Microsoft Surface Holder to have him actually play this week.

Is this still your opinion?

Basically, yes. I think of it like a vaccine shot. Yes, it hurts for a second, but you then potentially save yourself so much much pain in the future. If the Jaguars win a game, we feel good for a week. We get Trevor Lawrence, we might feel good for a decade.
Don't screw it up and win another game!!!!!!

Because winning a couple meaningless games at the end of the year has translated so well over the years right?? Nope.. It's a new team every year.
Winning a couple meaningless games in the back half of the season doesn't do anything for the next season besides lower your draft position. Especially when we should have a brand new house (front office/coaching staff) after this season.
Today is what we should want every week for the rest of this season.. Competitive games, but when the clock hits zero, we lose. Help insure us a full house clean, as well as keeping us at the top of the draft board, while still having some entertaining football to watch.

Yeah, cause picking high in the draft has really helped us over the years right? Nope.., I'd rather win out than lose out. Like I said, if the GM can't hit on the pick and we are picking 7-10, we picked the wrong GM

And you'll be one of the first people calling that top 7-10 player a bust when he isn't an all pro after his rookie season, all while blaming the GM.
At the end of the day, our options are far better drafting at the top of the draft. Trade wise especially and player/prospect wise.

It's not where you pick its who you pick. Lawrence is the only player worth tanking for but the Jets are getting him so I'd love to see these young guys improve especially if they improve enough and start leading us to wins
