  4.  Jaguars – TE Bucky Hodges

That's a nice draft.   Hits on three immediate  needs in the first three rounds.

Give me Shaheen over Hodges and this draft looks like a home run.

In this draft I'd go:

1. McCaffrey

2. Feeney

3. Shaheen

But I'd be happy with yours as well.
Ugh...

I have a major mistake in this mock... I left out WR Mike Williams. He should go top 15.

I don't see the Jets taking a QB.

This GM and coach are on thin ice. They need an immediate starter. Howard would make sense in this scenario.

1.5 Rounds

1. CLE - DE M. Garrett

2. S.F. - DE S. Thomas

3. CHI - SS J. Adams

4. CLE- QB M. Trubisky (JAC)

46. IND - TE E. Engram

47. BAL -OT T. Moton

48. MIN - DT M. McDowell

Round 3 Jags - TE Jake Butt (over Hodges)

If the rumors are true that Carolina would take McCaffrey over Fournette, then all the better and we take Fournette. If not a RB. We take one of the QB's (I just can't see them making Bortles a lame duck though). In round 2, Coughlin takes QB D. Webb to groom for next year.  Dawkins brings versatility and steps in day one as the starting left OG.  In round 3, I like Jake Butt and his chances of a full recovery from ACL injury over some of the other TE's.  Or, if Coughlin like TE Evan Engram, he could take him at #35 and pick up the best available OG in round 3.

Yeah, I'd put Williams with the Cardinals at #13, and drop Foster lower.  Round 2 -  who is LB Eric Wilson?? Also, Brantley won't go in the 2nd round now, and Kpadsagnon(6'7' 290) is not an OLB. I like most of your 1st round though.  Mahomes to Saints is original.

But isn't your contingency on the Raiders signing Lynch is a huge if given the Raiders/Seahawks trade still has to be fleshed out. I would be surprised if it is all done by the draft.

Rumor has it that the Dolphins are in LOVE with Forrest Lamp at 22.

Whatever Kpadsagnon is... the Steelers LOVE him. The same goes for Eric Wilson and the Colts. I don't know if I reached early for Wilson...maybe, but the interest the Colts are showing in Wilson makes me think they have a plan to draft him and they do need inside help. The big question there is... do they take Wilson over Jarrod Davis, but again their scouting suggests they do.

Mahomes to the Saints at #11 is rather original, but watch this happen. The Saints have had their eyes on Mahomes with their #32 pick. Originally it was thought they cold move up ahead of the Texans and grab him, but more teams have got in on the Mahomes idea including teams who might move up from early round two. Mahomes has steadily move up the draft until recent reports have the Cards outright drafting him at #13. The Saints I figure finally give up on the idea of moving up and just take Mahomes at #11.

I was reading that the trade part was figured out and is now just contingent on the Raiders and Lynch reaching a deal.

I would be surprised if Jarrad Davis isn't drafted in Round 1.  He could easily be the Lions pick at # 21.

He probably does go earlier than I have him. When I picked him that late for the Packers I knew it was a steal.

The Dolphins and Steelers both brought him in... You're post makes me wonder if the Dolphins might draft him at #22. I certainly wouldn't be shocked if Davis goes late round one.

On Mike Williams, I'm now thinking the Browns might take him #12 instead of Watson.

In my 3 round mock draft,  which I plan on posting in another thread,  I have Reuben Foster dropping to # 22, with the Dolphins taking him at that point.  But that's what I think they would do.  If given the choice between Reuben Foster and Jarrad Davis,  I would take Davis w/o hesitation.  Foster probably has more upside but the risks associated with him are hard to overlook.

Jarrad Davis would be a great pick for the Steelers if he lasts that long.   Davis'  intangibles are first rate,  in addition to what he brings on the field.

I really don't see Foster sliding much further as teams seem to really like him. The 49ers are looking to trade down in order to put themselves in a good spot to draft him. The guy is a tackling machine who stops ball carriers cold in their tracks. Jarrard probably goes in the 30 to 50 range, but I see Reuben going top 15. If the Cards pass on him... possibly for Mahomes...then I see him going soon after to just about anyone. A ton of teams like him.

To better illustrate this, I mentioned how the Dolphins and Steelers brought in Jarrad Davis for a private interview. Reuben Foster, on the other hand, has been brought in for a private visit with the 49ers, Bears, Jaguars, Titans, Jets, Saints, Cards, Eagles, Colts, Ravens, Lions, Dolphins, Raiders and Chiefs.

You could easily be proven correct about Reuben Foster going in the top 15.  It wouldn't be surprising if he did.  But I think a key reason why many teams wanted to bring in Reuben Foster for a pre-draft visit is because there many non-football questions that he needs to answer in a way that will satisfy teams.  With Jarrad Davis,  the only major question mark is whether he will be durable enough.
I agree about Foster going top 15.  I think he's that good...............plus, I think NFL teams look at off-field stuff differently depending on your position.  He's a linebacker, so he's supposed to be the guy that, y'know, gets sent home from the Combine because he gets in some sort of an altercation with the medical staff.  If he was a QB, then it'd be a draft-breaker, but not so much a LB.

Just put Williams in New Orleans and take the QB out of round 1. Why would they draft a QB when they have time with Drew Brees.

I can't really answer the "why" part, but they really, REALLY want Mahomes.
