nah. the season is already decided, pimp

5-11

Literally, the next two weeks don't decide the season. Yeah, gus is a hack, but I truly believe last week was an anomaly.
And all you have to do is look back to last year after we got beat even harder than we did against s.d., when new England wringed our necks. We lost really badly and still were in a position to win the division. I can't count the number of times posters on here said, and I quote,

"The d will be better, they just need some time to gel."

I'm not defending wash or gus, I'm defending our players. I truly believe it will happen guys. And let's not forget how many of us said we expected 8-8 or 9-7, it's only been 2 weeks, and the first week we looked pretty good against a pretty good team, and then we have a really bad game in a part of the country where we historically have bad games and everyone's world on here is crashing and burning.

Jeez guys

Even if last week was an anomaly, the amount of people that look to be injured for this game are going to make it yet another anomaly.

Jeez guys

I mean, it's nice to see someone who still has hope. I won't even get into the comparison between New England and San Diego. New England is one of the elite teams in the NFL... they were expected to whoop us. The San Diego game? Very winnable game, atleast I thought. Especially after the positive performance against Green Bay. However, GB isn't the team we thought they were, so I'm sure if we can look back at it as a "moral victory" anymore. Plus, we are passed moral victories. It's time for Gus to put up or shut up, and that San Diego game was just so demoralizing, even to a usually patient fan like me. We started the game very uninspired. Team played unprepared, and Gus was thoroughly outcoached.

I agree with you, I expected a little bit of struggle with all the new guys on defense, but I wasn't expecting a blowout. Our team might be adjusting to each other, but we should be past the blowouts.

A win vs Baltimore would atleast give us a little hope back, but as of right now, I don't trust Gus to get the job done.
Quote:San Diego changed everything?  That sounds like a severe overreaction - it's one game.

Quote:Pretty much my thought.  I predicted prior to the season that the 1st quarter would put the team AT BEST 2-2.  I was thinking more along the lines of 1-3.  I think that the reasoning behind most people's opinion is the debacle that was this past Sunday.

Prior to the season I had a question mark regarding the San Diego game.  I think that this team is better than the Chargers, but they have never really played well going to the left coast.  I didn't think the team would beat the Packers, yet they almost did.

This week's game against the Ravens is going to be a real test for the Jaguars, but I think that they can not only win but win in convincing fashion.  Remember, even though the Ravens are 2-0, their wins are against two teams that are also 0-2 right now.

Next week's game in London is also a question mark for me only because the team hasn't really done that well across the pond (with the exception of last year).
Did you guys also expect to get BLOWN into oblivion before the 2nd quarter even ended - 4 years into this team build? There's a difference between losing (i.e. Green Bay loss) and not showing up on the field being absolutely uncompetitive…

And don't give me the traveling to the west coast crap being some magical reason why we lose. Yes, we have basically lost every time we have gone there but this is the NFL and traveling should not create such a disadvantage. Like I mentioned in a thread prior to the Chargers game, I don't care if our guys had to travel to Fiji to play the game - I EXPECT a win.

Yet something else I don't get. This is like one of those useless stats of the day that in the end mean absolutely nothing. Like Patriots starting their first rookie QB since 1993 with Bledsoe or whatever it was. Literally means nothing other than something for someone to post as a headline.
The season was over when dummy Khan kept Casey Bradley. Anyone with a brain knew after leading a 31st ranked scoring defense in his 3rd year, he sucked.
