I'd read a couple of weeks ago that he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and that he would be starting treatments immediately.
Some of that stuff is very aggressive. An ex-wife of one of my uncles (an ex-aunt?) went to the doctor on a Tuesday for flu-like symptoms. They were putting her in the ground the following week.

After you read something like this, you kind of think about the stuff you complain about and take for granted, and it all seems so small. Some people are just dealt a horrible hand. Sad to think about.

I just saw this news. That's horrible. My sister-in-law's mother was diagnosed with stage four cancer December 2016 and we buried her January 2017.
It does make you think about things. Damn.
