But, but, but Wilson also has the Jaguars Playbook

Or do you stick with Trevor no matter what just do to his talent and potential?

Seriously? SMH

It's stupid the way the media tried to spin this and then a few people listen and followed.

I’m completely fine with his sentiments. It’s actually quite healthy. That dude got great parenting
Agreed

Totally.  That was a great message.

I don't see why he had to explain himself at all.

I had zero problems with what he said at the interview.  To even do what he did at the college level requires a ton of competitiveness.  When he took that hit against Ohip State, came back in, and ran for that TD in that playoff game a couple of years back showed he was a competitor.

Though the media talking heads may not be sold, the important thing is Meyer is sold.  That's all that matters.

Agreed.

It's just people trying to start bs about him imo

BTW, I really like Wilson and I'd be happy to have him if we were at #2. I don't know if he will succeed with the Jets though. 49ers would be a much better fit.

I will say Wilson would have far more help with the 49ers than he will with the Jets-at least early on.  For that matter, he would have more help with us than the Jets early on.  But the Jets will have more picks-especially early-than we have next year so depending how well the teams draft, they could fix that.

Back to TL, there are plenty of QBs who have stated they have a chip on their shoulder and have flamed out completely.  I remember rob Johnson being bent out of shape because he wasn't drafted until the 4th, and he didn't amount to much in terms of his NFL career.  Johnny Manziel showed up at his pro day workout wearing full pads, talking about how he's ready to tear up the league.
Genuine question. How has Fields dropped so far down the QB ranking without playing a game? To me, he’s clearly better than Wilson

Paralysis by Analysis.

Draft being pushed later.

Etc.

I think people have gone to sleep on Fields.  To me, he's still the second best QB in the draft.   Fields has a much longer track record than Wilson, who only has one great year and against very weak competition.  I'd take the guy who's done it longer, and against much better competition.

The one that really baffles me, though is the Mac Jones thing.  Is it really possible that he will be picked 3rd overall.  Whatever they see in him, I can't see it.  Fields has a much higher ceiling than Mac Jones.
Will Wilson slide it the draft?

I would take Lawrence, Wilson, Jones, Lance and Trask over Fields. That guy is gonna be a bust. I've seen every single pass he's thrown at Ohio State, as I live in Ohio. He cannot read a defense. He stops after the first read and takes off running if any defender is within 5 yards of him. He was mostly working out of completely clean pockets all year and Chris Olave bailed him out of some bad situations with poorly thrown balls.
