Hit and miss. Some really good picks and some really bad picks. My first question is why in the world do we need to draft 2 receivers? We can replace the backup guys we lose via free agency with UDFA's. I still say we have a good, young nucleus in Chark, Shenault and Collin Johnson. Drafting a receiver would be a solid move for depth, but drafting 2 is asinine and I wouldn't even consider drafting one until the start of day 3.
Obviously, I love the Lawrence pick and I don't like the Moore pick. In this case, I'd take an elite pass rusher ahead of Moore like Rousseau or Phillips. I have both ranked much higher.
I loathe the Leatherwood pick. He was terrible during Senior Bowl week and was absolutely "ragdolled" on some plays. IMO, he needs to move inside to OG. I don't even have him in my OT column. Gimme OT Liam Eichenberg here. I really like the Onwuzurike pick. He'd be great as either a 3 technique or as a 5 technique in a 3-4 set.
I love the Newsome pick. It's probably my favorite in this draft, outside of Lawrence. He gives us a shutdown corner.
I love the Hunter Long pick. He may take a little while to develop, but his ceiling is very high. I loathe the Drake Jackson pick. He had way too many errant snaps in 2020 and he's a little undersized imo. Gimme Safety Damar Hamlin instead.
Frank Darby? We don't need to waste another pick on a WR. Gimme Kary Vincent. He opted out in 2020, but was an elite CB in 2019 and could slide into the Nickel roll. Tarron Jackson is o.k., but I would've filled this role with pick #25. Gimme WR Sage Surratt here. Him falling to round 5 is a joke! He's not falling passed round 3 and I believe he goes round 2. He would be a steal this late.
I like the Paddy Fisher selection. He's a good all around ILB and would provide great depth and could even start in 2022, should Schobert fail to improve. I HATE the Roundtree pick. He fails to get passed the LOS on too many plays. I doubt he would even make the team. Gimme OT Landon Young instead. He could compete for the RT position.

I mean, most of us would be fine with Newsome at 25 so if you just pretend it goes Tlaw, Newsome, Rondale, Levi, and then take Eichenberg at 65 it would be a dope draft.

I would really like that draft.

Do you not like Moore, or do you not like him at that slot? As for two WRs being drafted, if they are truly a BPA team like they assert, I could see that happening. Even if they were need drafters I could see it. If guys fell unexpectedly I could see it.
I'd like the Newsome pick, too, but I think he'll be taken higher than that 3rd round pick they have him. If the Jaguars landed him at 45 I'd be happy with it.

I like Moore, I just don't think he should be that high. I have other receivers I like a lot more.
Newsome is gonna get picked a lot higher. I could even see him going in the first round. I wouldn't complain if we took him at #25. He's a great player and he fills a massive need.

Collins is definitely a first rounder. He's the most well rounded LB in the draft and can fit into any scheme. He's one of my favorite players at any position.

I never doubted him to be a first rounder. Up until recently I had him going late first. I'm betting he will rise until being taken mid first. Miami or New England would be good fits for him.

I think he could be a 4-3 WLB as well. I know Cleveland could definitely use some LB help.

Agreed.
