I hate that the headline got tweaked when it's clearly correct.

He's succeeded everywhere he's gone, I get the feeling he'll keep firing coordinators and drafting the same position in a desperate attempt to find another Harvin until Khan decides to pull the plug on him.

We'll see, though. We can always hope.

It would be lightning striking twice, as the Jets finished last season on a two-game win streak to hand us the top pick.

How many fingers does this monkey paw have left?

It's okay.  I understand some of you guys want to keep watching bad football for the next decade for some asinine reason.

Our arrow is pointing hilariously, catastrophically down and Urban is going to have to check with his coordinators before he can tell us why.

No, I can see nuance when it comes to what's happening with the team. I was luke warm about Meyer from the beginning due to his lack of experience but hoped for the best. I've been mildly amused by the shrillness of some of the negativity but I understand it.

By the way, you're awfully familiar with some of the posting history around here for a new user. Just so you know, once you've been banned, signing up with a new account is prohibited too.

Didn't realize there was a rule against lurking and then finally making an account.  I've read enough to see that people like you enjoy putting up with poor performance far longer than necessary.

By all means though, abuse mod power to make people who disagree with you disappear.
Some fans gave Meyer 1 calendar year to fix a decade of terrible coaching and drafting

I'll take "things that someone who's been banned would say" for $200 please.

It's not about the time frame.  It's about how poorly he's doing so far.  The team is getting worse and not better. Trevor is looking worse.

By his own admission, he doesn't know how to use his players.  I don't know how you excuse that away.

And that's in addition to repeated penalties, the asinine QB competition, giving rookies zero experience, hiring a racist coach, the bar debacle...

Look man, it's bad.  We're the worst coached team in the NFL.

I mean it's not like mods everywhere don't do this.  But it's whatever.  Jags reddit is a thing too that I can waste my time on.  Lol

you find a rustbucket truck rotting in a farmhouse, and give it to a mechanic who has a reputation for making good vehicles run better.

How long do you let him keep hammering at the fenders before you see if the vehicle can do anything besides serve as a paperweight? Not expecting our rustbucket to be ready for the Daytona 500, but we should be able to get it cranked over without constantly stalling at this point.

Not fix, just show some kind of modest improvement on both sides of the ball. Given how many new players Meyer brought in and how many he got rid of, I don't think that's too much to ask. He has failed miserably! This team is unwatchable. We trailed the entire game to a team (Atlanta) who was outscored 68-3 in their last two matchups. It doesn't get much worse than that.

This is not a surprise, but just seeing this in writing is like a knife in my gut that's being slowly twisted around and around. Meyer and Baalke are taking something that was already broken and smashing it into so many pieces that I fear it can never be repaired in my lifetime. I had hope for the future before Meyer and Baalke were hired, now I see no future at all. Our useless owner would rather tank this entire team for the next 10 years, than make the moves necessary to get things back on track.
