I'll be doing pre-draft, post-draft, and post-preseason predictions for the record. Last year I predicted we'd finish 4-12 at the time when everyone was still drinking the kool-aid and predicting us to be the favorites to win the division. Of course, we finished 3-13. That would be 10-6, which I believe would be good enough to go to the playoffs out of the AFCS.
That's the record with the coaching staff having the team ready in the same manner they were ready for the texans and titans in the last two weeks of last season and the young defenders continue to ascend.
 
Now for the "team is really as bad as their record made them look last season and Bortles implodes" prediction.

That's 5-11, and would probably mean another season of Bortles leading the league in turnovers along with Ivory fumbling it six or seven times.
 
Really I expect closer to 10-6 than 5-11 because I truly believe talent was on the team but being badly wasted by Bradley and Co last season. I think Marrone and Coughlin will put together a team and gameplans that allow the team to actually win some games they've been losing in years past.

Everyone except for Jagwired (who had us going 16-0) predicted a loss vs the Bengals.   The Bengals had a rough free agency losing Whitworth (OT) and Zeitler (OG).  Our DL should have a field day stopping their run and putting pressure on Dalton.

Who knows..

 

Hill and Bernard combined for 1,167 rushing yards last year on a average of 3.8 yards per carry WITH their 2 critical offensive lineman that they lost in free agency.

 

They went 3-4 after their bye week last season.

The Bengals have rushed the passer pretty well and the Jaguars have defended the pass rush pretty poorly overall, plus it's an away game. It's hard to win on the road against quality opponents. Not saying the Jaguars won't or can't win if they right the ship, but it's hard to imagine it being better than a tossup if the bengals are playing to expectations.

7-9.  If the Jaguars get even average QB play, a winning season is a very realistic possibility.
