Started 39 games the past 2 seasons for KC, as an inside LB in the 3-4, and an outside LB in their 4-3. KC drafted LB Willie Gay in the 2nd round last year, and have him pegged to take over Damien's previous starting role. He was drafted in 2015 in the 4th round by Dallas, and was a strongside LB in their base 4-3 and good special teams player. He's 6'0" 245, and went to the University of Minnesota. At the combine, he ran a 4.75 40y dash, 37" vertical, and lifted 22 reps. Most analysts at that time considered him an initial quality backup caliber linebacker, with good movement skills, and special teams player. For the Jags, if signed, Damien would likely challenge for the starting Sam LB role in the 4-3 package, backup interior LB in the 3-4, and contribute in special teams. He would be an upgrade over the current backup LBs behind Jack and Schobert.

He would be good depth. I dont think he would beat out Leon Jacobs if healthy though. Jacobs is the most underrated player on our team imo and we missed him last year.

I don't know that Jacobs is a big play guy, but is a solid guy to have.

Good signing by the Jaguars. Including, the benefit of adding a player who was on both ends of the last two Super Bowls.
