I do not agree.

Do I think a superbowl was possible? No way.

A turnaround? Absolutely.

We essentially have two drafts worth of capital a great solution at QB and crazy FA money. We also had some pretty nice pieces to start this rebuild. There is no need for low expectations.

I'm not sure I am.

We're switching to a 3-4.  I'd prefer bigger guys there.  I'd also prefer guys who can locate the ball.

For that matter, I would have preferred Trey Smith at that spot.

Andy Reid could..
Hoping Trey keeps slipping.

Baalke and Meyer are not the guys that were doing this the last few years.

If someone thinks everything Jaguars is wrong then they should blame Shad Khan or reconsider their fandom.

For years people on this forum has kept parroting the old lines "trust in our leadership" and "YOU aren't a scout, the team knows better" and "armchair GMs" and those administrations we've been told to trust in have sucked to the nth degree.

The previous years for Jacksonville weren't Meyer and Baalke but Baalke does have a track record of picking injured busts, so to me he hasn't earned any trust yet. And Meyer by his own admission is still learning.

i think it's great that we have the chance to opine on the draft picks, good or bad. It's the only voice we have. And we shouldn't quit being fans just because the team keeps screwing up. We should keep pounding on them about it until they get it right.

Exactly. I hate fans who blindly trust leadership on every, single pick. It's like they're a bunch of lemmings. It's perfectly fine to have your own opinions. This isn't some communistic country where everyone has to agree with leadership. I like hearing everyone else's opinions, unless they are just gonna try and "blow sunshine up my butt" about every single selection. Those people have to either be mindless, paid by the team to come on here and praise the picks or are just too trusting of the people in charge.
Looking like there will still be a good pass rushers at 130. Weaver, Toney, Kaindoh, Robinson, Roche, Snowden...

In your opinion, is he a 4-3 pass rusher? Nickel and dime will be 4-3.

If he is the same size he was last year, he could play DE in a 4-3 scheme or maybe even 3 technique. He was a "big boy."

NFL teams typically play nickel approximately 60% of the time.  You use a 4 man front in that formation.  I would expect Tufele to play a lot in those situations.
Man! There goes Elerson Smith. I loved him. He would've been a great 3-4 OLB.
Jags moved up to 121
so who do we pick next?
That means we really want someone.
Thank god, we got a commercial break before our pick. That NEVER happens.

Not yet, it's being worked on. Shouldn't be much longer.
Jordan Smith, DE

Yeah I hate to break it to you, but that’s the overwhelming majority of the world population.

Just drafted Jordan Smith DE UAB
Not really a fan of that pick. He regressed as a pass rusher from 2019 to 2020. Very tall, athletic guy though.
What did we give up?  It appears that we still have our later 4th round pick and both 5th rounders.
