This.  3 years from now we'll be hiring a new coaching staff and wasting Trevor's career.

in a few years why don't you two put in your applications for coaching staff...You guys apparently know everything...

I don’t know everything at all. This is poor resource management strategy. This isn’t even player x is going to be good or bad. Toney may turn out to be a good player (I personally think he is going to bust, but it doesn’t matter). There are plenty of problems at other positions which impact the game more and there were great resources available to help fix those problems. Need meeting value is critical to a successful franchise and what we appear to value is glamour positions. This makes a ton of sense coming from a college coach.

Our new coach stacked his board favoring:
A speed receiver with a limited amount of production, but good workout numbers.
A running back with a good NFL projection, but a lot of wear on the tires.

These are finishing touch pieces for a team, not something to rebuild a franchise with. Look who did pick Toney. Is that the type of team builder you want? The Giants are heading for a blow up shortly.

I assumed they were sorry to miss out on Darrisaw when he originally made the comments. Not freaking Toney.

Who did you want? Barmore? What if meyer saw tyreek hill/alvin kamara with toney/etn but saw taven bryan with barmore? Who would have been a better choice? I keep hearing positional value yada yada.. nick chubb went at the top of the 2nd we could have reached for him at 29 but we took the dt. Will anyone here defend taven bryan over nick chubb? Everyone here needs to relax

Great argument man. Player evaluations are tough. Chubb had an excellent college career and was hurt. I am not sure if he tested, but he looked amazing at UG. Bryan was a raw athlete that needed to put it together.

My preference would have been Jenkins. In my opinion he combines production and athleticism/ size more like Chubb prospect. Toney smells like the project that needs to put it together. Meyer’s disappointment of missing him worries me more than taking Etienne.

Etienne could be closer to your Chubb example. I think thats a fair point.
I've been watching ETN in college for seemingly 10 years. Kid is a baller.

UF Wideouts don't work out.
