Running out of a 12 or 13 formation with multiple blocking TEs is likely to be a facet of Bevells offense.
I do agree with the assertion in the article that they should let TL throw on first down regularly.
Bevell will likely game plan lots of ground and pound in matchups vs quality secondaries and defensive coordinators IMO.

It all depends on how well Little performs. If we're still stuck with the same under-performing starting OT's we had last season, I'd become a run heavy team in order to protect our new QB. As I have said on many occasions, I don't trust Robinson and especially not Taylor in pass protection. I don't wanna see Trevor get "Burrowed." With James Robinson and Travis Etienne in the backfield, I would have no problem going very run heavy in Trevor's rookie year, both to protect him and bring him along slowly in the passing game, using TE's as extra blockers on the edge. IMO, that may be the smartest way to go at this.

I think if he stays healthy, Tyler Davis is going to emerge as a pass catching threat for us this year.

While part of me wants to see the offense with TL fully unleashed, I am more than happy with a conservative approach, especially if the OL is still a weakness and since TL is still young. Justin Herbert managed to do okay without the best protection, but I don't want to risk it with TL. At minimum, I'd prefer the team to start off conservatively until TL has a better handle on what NFL defenses will do to attack the offense and for the OL to settle with the new schemes and protections, and for Little to knock more of the rust off.

At this stage, I am hoping Njoku is cut and we pick him up.
My theory is this team is going to utilize the backs much more in the passing game. Tight ends are primarily going to be blockers in this offense while having the backs come out of the backfield as receiving threats. The offense is going to be primarily run but utilize these backs in the passing game on 3rd and short down situations.

O'shag may look a bit more like a real TE this year since we don't have complete dog water throwing the ball.
I expect to see a lot of 22 Personnel. 1 WR 2 TE, 2 RB. Same thing we did with Fred in the early days. What worries me is even when we get the 1st overall pick, we get this generational QB talent, and we are still planning to play like its the mid 90s. No receiving TE, no emphasis on bringing in more WR talent... Pick a RB and CB at 25/33... It's kinda nutty.
The NFL is, relatively speaking, much easier for the pass game to thrive now. I really hope this staff doesn't go out there and handicap the rookie QB in fear of ruining him with a dull run 1st offense. I like the idea of possibly using a 2 RB set like we did a few years back with Grant/Lenny. Have Robinson/Etienne in the backfield and let them go out and keep the TE's in to block. This team really needs to focus on getting a much more dynamic offense.
I get this terrible feeling that we will see a very vanilla setup of run, run, pass, punt. A lot. I hope I'm wrong.
