I have no sympathy for the woman that was shot. She was participating in breaking the law and she failed to stand down as ordered. This is the same kind of situation as the Jacob Blake shooting. If you don't obey the cops, you face the consequences. It's simple. Black, white, yellow, red, brown or plaid, it doesn't matter what skin color you are. You must obey the police or risk getting shot. She put herself in that situation.

It's all an illusion. I watched the events unfold live and monitored both FOX News and CNN just to see the narrative. The biggest concern was the crowd and in both feeds they showed a bunch of people being patriotic, nothing more. The videos of the guy wearing the stupid costume show him being escorted in by a Capitol police officer. I saw no violence or destruction.
The few video clips that show violence don't fit what was "the norm" that day.
We still don't know exactly why an un-armed woman was shot almost point-blank by a Capitol police officer and the justification for the shooting.
However, a certain segment of the public just laps up the narrative that it was a "violent protest" and an "insurrection".

Look, can most people admit there there were a few over-zealous Trump supporters involved? I think they can. You're going to have the few who completely absolve Trump's base, but I think those guys are in the minority. That said, when you have 500,000 people surrounding a building, and it comes out with minimal damage and no casualties, with one exception, I think we can say that it is a false narrative to be comparing it to pearl harbor or 911.
