It would be hilarious, but I believe that position will go to Doug Costin.

That would piss his family off, it would not be a good idea. He didn't sign because of that and was/is building a home there and seems like he will stay there after football.

I was hoping they'd have the guts to do it.

Jack and Schobert are the same type ILB with Jack being better at it than Schobert. You don't need two downfield ILB in a 34. You need one of them to be a hammer

Totally agree.  The trade wasn't surprising to me, because I figured they'd cut Schobert after this year anyway.  Better to get a late round pick and free up the cap space this year.
What it boils down to is they don't want to pay a guy 8 mil to ride the bench. I have high hopes for Quarteman too

Agreed
Like a few other moves Meyer/Baalke have made, I hope it doesn't bite us in the [BLEEP].

I see some logic here, just hope their assessment on remaining LB room is correct.
Jaguars are doomed forever it seems, this is just the latest example....
I'm not mad that we traded Joe Sho. I personally felt that he wasn't what we needed in the middle. This opens up the competition for better run stopping MLBs to compete for the position. We may not even utilize a MLB that much w/this regime.

Time Will Tell.

NH3...
My question is what did we get? If we got a 3rd rounder or a decent player it is a good trade. If we got a 5th rounder or lower it's horrible.

It seems like it's gonna be terrible for you then.
Some people are waiting around to see what they are going to get for christmas. Sorry Santa isn't coming this time. The grinch (steelers) didn't leave any goodies
Good!

Where ya at whiners?
Should have been multiple firsts.. simply because I hate the steelers..
It's not Whining but it's horrible giving up a starter or at the very least a good depth guy for a 6th round pick. We still have plenty of unused cap space so it makes no sense to be a cap casualty. Bad move but it is what it is.
Maybe the steelers owe us one smh. Oh well. Cant wait for the game tomorrow

Arrived on cue!
I am very iffy on Baalke but to get a 6th for a LB with that contract... like it.
Are the steelers taking the whole salary?
