The problem is that Tlaw and Minshew split times with both the #1s and #2s so niether is getting chemystry with either one. CJ is only playing with the #3s and he has gotten chemystry and timing with them. this is why he looks better, he is not better then Minshew or TLaw, i think he will be the sit at home emergency covid QB the one who does not enteract with the team so the Denver situation does not happen.

Urbs needs to let Tlaw get all the reps with the #1s so he can get timing and chyemstry down, he needs as many reps as he can get. Minshew will be the #2 QB

I disagree 100%. Beathard isn't great by any stretch of the imagination, but Minshew has regressed greatly.
1) Lawrence
2) Minshew
3) Beathard

I'm not in a rush to trade any of them unless i'm blown away.
A conditional 7th rounder would blow me away considering how awful Minshew has been.

Go look at his work on his previous team. As for Minshew, I think he would be a good #2. If you need him, he can hold things down for a few games. I'm not sure why hes kind of off these two preseason games. I think hes trying too hard. He needs to relax and get back to how he was playing before he lost some confidence last year
Yep, the New Kid is making him trying to match him dime for dime the problem is the arm ain't there to do it.

Also i don’t judge by practices….. games are all that matter. Allen Iverson said it best, We’re talking about practice man….

Pre season games are glorified practices, so the fact that Beathard has outperformed in his time against 3rd stringers and players that will be cut vs Minshew against starters and back-ups doesn't really make me think he's the better option.  I keep saying it (because it's true) - look at their performance in regular season games.  Minshew has shown to be the much better option in those games.  I'm hopeful neither will have to play this season, but if we need someone to come in for a 3-4 game stretch, I have more faith in Minshew based off of his performance over the last 2 years than I do in Beathard because he's played well in 2 pre season games against scrubs.

Everyone gets to play against scrubs this weekend since the Cowboys will sit everyone they can.
It’ll be the QB that goes “Beep Beep Beep…”

I’ll show myself out.

I think Minshew "struggling" is overstated. Besides the OT's and blocking being generally horrendous through preseason games 1 & 2; Minshew is definitely trying to do too much to show out and force plays trying to win an uphill battle for the starters job. If Lawrence were to *knock on wood* (god forbid) get a season ending injury, I think we'd see the Minshew were used to that makes the smart play and manages the game, he's pressing right now because he knows what the stakes are and that he's not in the driver's seat for it. Anyone who has ever been a bench player in every sport knows that the mentality you have is different and it shows up in your play.

Given the state of this Oline, a conditional 7th is not worth the security of having a capable NFL QB in case of injury. This team is bad and I don't think we can afford to just give away a player like that.

I agree a conditional 7th is not worth the security of having a capable NFL QB in case of injury. Unfortunately we don't have one of those behind Lawrence.
Turns out we found a trade partner for Minshew.

Glad we were able to recoup a 6th for him despite his horrible regression recently.

I thought preseason didn't matter? He was having great practices, it was all over twitter. Which is it? Do we care or not care about preseason performances? Lol

Considering Luton has gotten all but zero reps in camp/preseason, I'd say it's not a discussion.
Trade for Nick Foles

I'd rather bench Trevor and start Luton than bring Foles back

We Concur.

NH3...
Beathard with a couple great passes and looks extremely composed.

Devin Smith and Cotton Jr with excellent catches.

CJ looks more competent as a backup QB.
