Very  sad article in today's New York Times written by Tom Coughlin. His wife, Judy, has been suffering for the past year from a progressive brain disorder called supranuclear palsy. It basically takes away an individual's ability to function. It sounds something like ALS and there is no cure. Coughlin has been by her side the entire time along with around the clock medical assistance. Stuff like this puts other things like a terrible Jaguars game in perspective. Hopefully she be spared from whatever pain comes from this disease.

Damn, that's sad to hear.

Oh wow. My dad lives with a degenerative disorder that slowly takes away physical and cognitive function. It sucks. I hope they are able to make Mrs. Coughlin as comfortable as possible during this time.

Heard that this morning. Damn that's tough on any number of levels.

In addition to what Judy is going through, it's very concerning that the toll it's taking on Tom Coughlin.
