Quote:We've been blindly following and believing in Gus for going on 4 years. If this train somehow gets back on track, I have the right to get back on.

This train split 10 SUVs in half that were parked on the tracks, derailed, and slammed into a shopping mall, and the tracks got sucked up by a sink hole.

There is no getting back on.
Quote:I agree. I'm not trying to say that the main problem is not coaching. Coaching is the biggest issue. But, I'm just not sure that there's all this talent we believe is supposed to be there. I'm not seeing it.
I really think the defensive scheme holds back the talent from shining.

As for the offense, we all of a sudden have started running formations, plays, and sequences that harken back to Jed Fish.

This team is the brain child of Bradley, and it just flat out doesn't work. A better coach that is willing and smart enough to adjust scheme to personel has this team at 2-0 right now
This franchise is back to square 1 as far as I can tell. Apparently every player we've drafted the last 5 years is a big bust. This is like the 5th year in a row where we go to the west coast to play and the team never gets anything going. It's not just the defense either.

This game certainly killed any hype we had built up over this offseason
Quote:I have no doubt in my mind that the scheme and the philosophy that Gus utilizes is the problem. All you have to do is literally watch any other NFL game and you can tell that We have a huge coaching gap to the rest of the league.

This.

I was hoping that the "scheme" could get "built" before I started blaming it, but I think the time has come to call it like it is. Trash. FAIL. No pressure, too soft, too exploitable. This is the reason our defense is so inept.

This is the truth. I really hope Shad will listen to the fans.
Imagine if we had Belichick at the helm… Or anyone competent.

I'll settle for the latter at this point.

Belichick is 2-0, beating better teams, with Jimmy Garappolo throwing to God knows who. THIS JAGS TEAM MAKES ME SICK!!!!!!!!!!
I guess were missing colvin now huh? And agreed last year I was off the gus bus.
Terrible all across the board, but I'm absolutely sick of Gus' D. We need a nose tackle, 3 technique DT, Elephant DE, LEO DE, Otto LB, Centerfield FS, and box-tackling SS (who cares if he blows coverages, right?!).  That's just way too scheme specific in my humble opinion. NY beat Brady twice with this thing called a "4-3 defense". In that defense, pretty much all the d-lineman tried to do was sack the qb, and stuff the run. They had two jobs, did them both, and won two Super Bowls. Yes, I know it isn't that easy. And yes, I'm aware most of y'all know what a 4-3 defense is. Who doesn't love internet sarcasm?  All I'm saying is I'm sick of this convoluted and ineffective defense.

Best post of the day...

You're so dumb. We didn't miss Colvin. Our run defense was pathetic.

This team was pathetic and it had nothing to do with missing Colvin.

Gus: Da plan,da plan...

Its a shame we hit rock bottom and its week 2 lol.

Oh no there are more depths to this despair.  Next up Baltimore on the hit train.  I wonder how much interference Gus has on the Offensive Game Plan.  Do we know if everything is running through his hands?

We are definitely good at excuses.

Defense is bad...  no it isn't the scheme we don't have the right players and we haven't focused on that part of the team.

Draft and sign defensive players....  no we need time to gel.

Time passes ...   The players aren't playing the scheme correctly.
