Vets Open Email, Find They've Been Prohibited from 'Disrespecting' Biden, Harris, and Others
Amid the crisis taking place in Afghanistan, the Office of Naval Intelligence found time to remind active duty and retired service members not to say anything unflattering about the president’s deadly debacle.

But, it’s OK to disrespect Republican Presidents.

In America you can disrespect anyone you want. It's not illegal, it's just disrespectful.
Why any military branch would think they should tell people what to say is redicilous.

Active duty military are absolutely restricted on what they can say and do when it comes to politics. You didn’t know this?
Yeah. We defend democracy with absolute authoritarianism. It's the way it is. No politics in the public sphere. A marine Lt. Col just got relieved of duty for speaking out against the secretary of state, and, imo, he was 100% correct. Is what it is.
As a veteran, is it disrespectful for me to say that Biden, Harris and the rest of the regime can kiss my [BLEEP] not on the left cheek or the right cheek but right smack dab on my [BLEEP]?

I feel the same way. Thank goodness UCMJ action doesn't affect us anymore. I'm finding it hard to even feel respect for the Office of the POTUS and VPOTUS at this point. That is something I never thought I would have an issue with.
I don't think this is new. I believe military retirees have always been subject to the UCMJ after retirement. Seems odd. If you're a vet but not retired military (like yours truly) it's not applicable. Was reading this:

I'm just a regular veteran so no skin off my back. Interesting to know retirees are still subject to UCMJ action. I think I may have known that back when my now ex-husband retired and we went through retirement "classes" but I'd since forgotten.

My wife's retired Navy, so she's subject to it and I'm not. I just reminded her of it though!

Because Republicans chase power they don't have while Democrats maximize the power they do.
