We're still probably the worst TE corps in the league, but it's closer than it was. Good pick up.

I don't think Hollister is going to set the world on fire but he significantly helps the TE room and gives the Jags some depth.
I know he is more of a move TE, but isn't TE one of the hardest positions to learn the playbook because of all the checks and timing based on protections and defense fronts/looks?

Didn't he get to Seattle after D. Bevell? How long will it take him to pick up a completely different playbook without any reps?
I wonder who gets cut when he is added? I'm guessing Luke Farrell.

They still have a practice squad spot open.  I am guessing they release one of the DE/OLB, like Patrick, and move him to the practice squad following waivers. However, they do not need to make this type of move as yet, as Tavon Austin's move to IR opened up a spot on the 53 for now.

I forgot about that.

They could carry 4 TEs if they really want by cinching the belt at OL,DL or DB, but Farrell to PS is probably a more likely scenario.

I agree with that.  It seems like we added a B level TE to a room full of C level TEs.  It's a good move.

Seems like they only kept 8 Olinemen, I don't think anyone carries just seven.

8 on current 53 plus Cann on IR/Covid makes 9 - at least according to their roster on the homepage (which is in flux these days and not always up to date)

Nonetheless - I think of the three mentioned that one is least likely to be squeezed - if any at all are

He'll probably be our best route running TE to help stretch the field but he may be limited within the Red Zone. I pray that I'm incorrect about this.
