Yep, he sucked all right. Thats why he was 37/11 td to pick ratio and 65 percent completion ratio and never once looked as lost as Super Hype Elf Interception King looks these first two weeks.

Given the absolute lethargic state of the offense, can't fault the defense much today.. They've come up with some stops. Offense has been doo doo.

Yeah, these coaches need to get out there on the field catch and block..

When you look at a team like NE who also is starting a rookie QB, they are giving him nice easy reads and quick hitters. Lawrence has been asked to be a downfield passer these first two weeks. If you don't want to run the ball, get the short passing game going as an extension of the run game.

But when they can get pressure consistently with 4 and drop 7 deep because nothing is underneath you get tiny windows to throw in. I dont like the OCs plan 2 weeks ina row.

Lawrence has great athleticism but hes been asked to throw from the pocket like a statue with a mediocre OL.

Move the pocket, run some bootleg, run the ball.. make your big plays off of play action.

I love me some Minshew, dude can be a starter in the right scenario... but let's be real, unless Lawrence is a total bust, TL will be the better QB.

I agree the offensive playcalling has been terrible

We can't place ourselves in 3rd and long situations when a simple 3-5yd gain on second down to make things more manageable.

Of course he is, we are down 13, D's struggling and everybplay call seems to be a pass. Like you say endless 3rd and longs.

We need those simple 5 yard passes to a TE or slot WR to make them more manageable.

How do we address TE? I mean we screwed around this off-season and haven't addressed it for real since Mercedes and Big Sofa. They didn't do enough to help out. I guess if ETN was available it would be slightly different.

Some improvement so far but this team is talent challenged and now our kicker is broken.

How about some intermediate routes for TL to get some confidence back?

I love minshew, but we were the worst team in football with him as the starter.... not sure there’s more to debate.

The dink and dunk short passes are being tried.. They're still being dropped.

There are zero playcalls designed to help a rookie QB. They keep asking him to throw downfield against a great secondary when they're getting pressure every down with 4 linemen.
