Surely, there must be some kicker out there that is friends with Urban and his family that we can bring in. I mean, things have worked out so well using that strategy to solve our TE weakness (Tebow and Farrell) that we should stick with it.
Just having to have the conversation about a kicker this early in the season is reason enough to boot him. Most NFL coaches would not tolerate this from a kicker, this ain’t peewee football this is the freaking NFL, do your job or be gone!

In my opinion, Lambo's issue is last year's hip injury. He may not have his full hip rotation back of which may be hindering his performance(s). Hopefully he'll work through this deficiency prior to the staff considering letting him go.
Time Will Tell.
NH3...
Very rare to see a player go from first to worst THIS fast but it does happen.
Mental now. Lamborghini needs to go kick 1000 practice field goals

If this was the case, I feel like he wouldn't be kicking off. Doesn't seem to be any issues there.
Apparently, they are working out kickers today.

Good. Any competent coaching staff would do the same.
Kickers don't need to learn a playbook, they just need to execute kicking the ball through the uprights when their number is called.
They need to do something with Lambo. He just doesn't look the same after his injury and those missed kicks are absolute killers. I watched him warm up and the ball just doesn't explode off his foot like it did in the past.
Losing out on points is not a good thing for such a young team and I felt like the second missed XP yesterday kinda sucked some life from the Jags. Whether it's his hip or his head, it's time to address it.

My guess is that Lambo plays Thursday and then they cut him and sign someone else this weekend.

The issue is that kickers in multi-game ruts often take a while to figure out, and often on another team.
Especially, when they don't have the opportunity for redemption later the in game.
A bigger issue is what is currently out there? Most likely it would be taking a chance on a no-name guy. That pool was a miserable last year with revolving kickers even though most that was due to injuries.
If they cannot replace him by Thursday, there may have to be discussion on if they are more likely to go for it on 4th downs/2-pt plays.
We've got a kicker on the practice squad (Matthew Wright). Elevate him to the team and see what he can do. Put Lambo on the short-term IR and let him deal with whatever it is that has caused him to get the yips. Those misses are really destroying any momentum we might be building in games, and his struggles go back to the preseason. It's really hurting the team right now.

yep I would put him on IR and if needed put him on IR for the full year

He’s been booming the kickoffs. Really sad to see him go through this slump. But 0/2 on XP and 0/3 on FG’s? Is that correct? Either way, that’s not just bad, that’s something any one of us could have done. I hope he gets it turned around, with the jags or not. Wish him the best going forward. Hopefully here. But completely understandable if it’s not. What he’s done is not acceptable.
Amazing how those missed kicks took the air out of the crowd every time they happened. Especially the extra points.

Too bad Lambo couldn’t do that Sunday
