Majority of Americans now want a reduced government, in switch from last year: poll

Gallup poll spotlights that half of all Americans prefer fewer government services and lower taxes

A majority of Americans say that the government is doing too many things as it tries to mend the nation’s problems and they favor a more hands-off approach, according to a new national poll.

This is why you can't react to polls.

Government expands one year and the next it has to shed people and services because of a poll.

The problem is when government tries to do too much, they end up [BLEEP] up what wasn't broken.  A very good example of that is the southern border.  Another good example is the economy at this point.  Pretty much everything that the current regime has touched is in disarray.  However the current military is getting more "diverse" and "inclusive".

I'm not disagreeing with you, but Biden's not really doing "more" or "less" than Trump at the border.  He's doing some things the same and some things different, continuing to prohibit some from passing while allowing others.

Well, as of today, one thing hes certainly doing is reinstating some of Trumps policies, because his handling of it (or is it Kamala's?) is cratering. Some of those Trump policies looked like some of Obama's policies, which makes this administration look 1000 times more incompetent than any in a while, maybe going all the way back to Carter.

It's easy to agree on less government, but hard to agree on what part of government to get rid of.
