Now if he reinstated every other Trump policy, this country could get back on it's feet.
Just goes to show that....... (Drum Roll Please) TRUMP WAS RIGHT!

People will be begging for Trump in 2024. Joe isn't even 10 months in and has wreaked havoc on this economy.
It's just like Mikesez sez... he does some things the same and some differently, but who knows who was right?

Trump was right that the border needs to be secure and we can't just let people cross with a pinkie promise that they'll show up for an asylum hearing later.

Trump was wrong to reduce the number of legal immigrants we allow. The labor market today clearly says we haven't been letting enough legal immigrants, especially low skilled ones, through for the past few years.

The low skilled Americans were convinced they are worth $15 an hour by your party and also paid to sit at home. The labor market issues you speak of don't exist for the reasons you think.

The enhanced unemployment benefits ended months ago.  And evictions have started up again.  Yet the problem persists.  How are these people able to sit on the sidelines of the labor market and still be able to pay their rent?

Mom and dad, most likely. It’s a really weird issue. Even the panhandlers are young and able-bodied.

You don't understand how evictions work. There is a backlog for judges that will take some time to process. People weren't automatically removed from their homes the day the moratorium was lifted.

You have a problem admitting the root cause of this issue and are trying to shift the blame.

It's a confluence of decades long trends where people have fewer babies, kids live with Mom and Dad longer and longer, and people retire earlier and earlier.
These are all just individual choices that Presidents can't really change either way.
But what Presidents can do is let in more legal immigrants. In an orderly way, not a race to the border.
We need to stop trying to engineer the thing so that only high skilled people are let in. The only requirements should be that you're not a criminal and that you speak English clearly.
