I know a lotta guys wanted him when he came out of Alabama. I was against drafting him, but I wouldn’t mind going after him as a FA.
For the right price, sure.

I'm more interested in seeing what the draft class has to offer, but Howard would probably do well with Trevor Lawrence.
I'd rather Gesicki or Goedert
I'd rather add one in the draft. It looks like this could be a deep TE class.
With all the hype that surrounded him coming out, he's seemingly underachieved. Wouldn't want to overpay for him.
David Njoku is an interesting option. I'm also wanting to see how Dan Arnold shakes out for the rest of the season.

If Miami let's Gesicki walk they should fire everyone.
Philly isn't close to winning the NFCE so I could see them going through some retooling and letting guys go but...

Both teams currently have cheap QBs on rookie contracts  so they should pay their best offensive weapons while they can.

I think Arnold and Manhertz are good TEs. We should just draft a guy to add to them imo.
Gesicki ain’t going nowhere. But I’ll take Hollins.
If he doesn't drop the ball. The most important is catching the ball for Lawrence

I agree 100%.  With Arnold and Hollister added to the roster I feel the TE room as been adequately addressed for this year Farrel is coming along nicely and Manhertz is a serviceable blocking TE until Farrel can replace him in a year or two. If indeed the TE class is deep next draft, that is where we should look for future growth.  Besides, top tier talent isn't ready to come here in FA at this time. Next year, as Trevor continues to improve I see setting up for a big FA the following year in 2023.

Gesicki reminds me of Kelce so much, and not just the way he cries to the refs every play. But seriously I'd love to sign him.
Gesicki instead of taven bryan would have been nice, We could have traded back and got more picks even.

Or Goedert, either one
Do not draft a TE. This TE FA class has a ton of potential just pay one of them and have them fight it out with Arnold. I have brought up Mo Alie-Cox a bunch here, he'd be awesome for us.
Still upsets me we didn't trade for Ertz. Ertz is another guy I'd be happy with and a difference maker

Man, Dave was so terrible in the first round. He whiffed on every pick save Ramsey, which any fan would’ve made.

Disagree. While there may not be one single standout TE in this coming draft, it is probably the deepest TE class I've seen in years. So much potential! Guys like Wydermeyer of Texas A&M, Likely of Coastal Carolina, McBride of Colorado State, Kolar of Iowa State, Dulcich of UCLA, Billingsley of Alabama, Otten of Washington, Turner of Nevada and Deese Jr. of San Jose State, all have showed an excellent skillset. With as many overall draft picks as we have, we should be able to select one of these guys to be a primary target for Lawrence.

I would be shocked if both these guys didn't get franchised.

Wut? you agree with Upper and then rattle off a slew of TE prospects for next year's draft and say we can get one of them. Which is it? I am in line with the draft one next year thought but at the same time FA is always a spot to look at for adding to the roster at almost every position on the team. I just don't think, at this point, we can attract many top tier free agents yet. Trevor's play and demonstrated potential could change all that by the end of the season but we still need to build primarily through the draft. And while a TE looks to be available there in the draft, will there be one of a better skill set than what we already have in a later round? I ask that because this FO will likely (hopefully) target both lines and LB and CB and WR before a tight end next year.

That should've said, disagree. Brain fart. My bad.

Draft an athlete on day 3, fine. Don't spend a valuable pick on a guy who won't give us anything for 3 years, which is how TE progress far more often than not.

Paying a TE is far +EV compared to drafting one IMO.
