Chinese Voters Came Out in Force for the GOP in NYC, Shaking Up Politics

From Sunset Park in Brooklyn to Elmhurst and Flushing in Queens, frustrations over Democratic stances on schools and crime helped mobilize votes for Republican Curtis Sliwa for mayor and conservative Council candidates.

After casting his ballot in the early morning on Election Day, Ray Huang made more than a dozen trips to poll sites in Brooklyn’s Sunset Park neighborhood.

Each time, he brought with him one or two Chinese residents who came to vote for Republican mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa, just as he did.

Asians are natural Republicans for several reasons.

1) A lot of them are entrepreneurs.  They come to this country and open businesses.
2) Democrat-supported affirmative action programs in Universities result in discrimination against Asians.
3) The ones I know work very hard, and don't rely on government handouts.  They are competitive and think people get what they deserve in life.  The average income for a person of Asian descent in the United States is higher than any other ethnic group.

100% agree with this. I roomed with a Chinese guy in college who was older (28), and getting his Master's here in the States after getting his degree in Chem Eng from a Chinese Univ. Could have gotten financial assistance, but didnt want it. He worked 2 jobs while racking up a 3.7 in the MBA program. Couldnt have been a nicer guy either. Would love to know where he is now and how everything turned out for him.
You forgot to add that they have seen first hand what happens when totalitarian government starts implementing its vision for the people.
