The stuttering steeler is God awful.

Frangie is bad. You could just stop listening to 1010xl.

Frank is like the boom goes the dynamite guy. He's not very good, but I'm not signing a petition.

Several times a year I'll leave the game at halftime to drive up to my condo at Hilton Head and listen to the 2nd half and post-game show on the radio. Also, I can imagine there are a lot of people who listen at work.

Frangie's pretty good. My problem, as an out-of-towner, is that you can't listen to the 1010x (or any radio streamlined internet cast) without paying for it first. That is a fairly recent development.

Agreed.  Stuff like that sorts itself out over time.

 

The change was made during the reboot, where the Jaguars were doing a lot to show the strength of local ties.  Military was most obvious, but there were also media changes that gave 1010 a bigger role.

Probably has something to do with the NFL broadcast rights.

Frank Frangie is painful to listen to. It doesn't matter if he's stuttering through a play-by-play call while gargling his words or struggling through drive time radio, Frangie is awful. I knew the radio broadcasts would go down hill as soon as he was revealed as the play-by-play guy.

I'm sure it's a [BLEEP] for tat with the 1010xl station which Frank basically owns.

Like I said - I like the guy.  What bothers me is that he's sometimes inexplicably ill-informed on the team's current affairs. How does a guy in his position not know what's going on with the team?? 

 

For instance, when they were about to cut down to 75 players he named four or five guys that might get cut. One of them was Sen'Derrick Marks. 

He didn't say they were putting him on the trade block. He suggested that Marks was a cut candidate just to get to 75. 

 

It's that type of idiocy that ruins his "football guy" credibility for me.  His play by play isn't great but I can deal with it, but it's just tainted for me by the dumb stuff he floats on his radio show.

I actually enjoyed Brian Sexton doing the play by play, but I don't hate Frank doing it now either.
