His entire demeanor reminds me of the position Coughlin was hired to do a few years back. We need him to coach the coaches.

It's like he's afraid to step on toes. Maybe it's first year jitters. With both of them having NFL experience. I expect that to change toward the end of this year and for next year. He's feeling things out, but that's not what Khan hired him for imo. Tho he and Kjan may have that understanding.

Urbz has enough experience as an head coach to know what his responsibilities are. The competition is elevated, but it's not like he's never had coordinators under him or players to evaluate or teams to plan against.

He was hired to be the head. If he's afraid of taking command, good gravy we're in worse shape than any of us imagined back at the beginning of this year.

That's the truth.
I vote for impeachment, on the grounds of treasonous lack of competent coaching and leadership. Throw lack of moral turpitude in there just for good measure.
Urbs has never been a good coach. He was a fantastic con man who could convince parents that their children would be well taken care of. Then he proceeded to place those very children into some of the most toxic environments in all of college football.

He's not afraid of it, he's no good at it.

Not defending some of the toxic situations that have happened but there are very very few players who played under urban who have leaked anything but positivity towards him. Fans might not like it but players tend to love urban and how he treats them

The soldiers always love the Godfather.

From all of the reports coming out, it seems like it's quite the opposite actually. He seems to be stepping on a lot of toes.

“…according to sources…” articles always leave me skeptical. No one is happy with the team direction, but citing unknown sources by writers eager for clicks to feed a disgruntled fan base is yellow journalism.

Maybe, maybe not. I think when you consider some of the things that have been said in the press conferences though there's clearly a disconnect somewhere. Meyer saying Lawrence wasn't comfortable with the QB sneak and then Lawrence basically saying Meyer is full of [BLEEP] was pretty funny to me. The fact that he also completely embarrassed this team, himself and his family publicly after that loss in Cincinnati which resulted in ownership publicly writing a statement regarding his trust having to be regained from them is pretty, pretty bad.

The fact that, direct names are being listed like the RB's coach and WR's coach catching Meyer's [BLEEP] the most in front of players just doesn't seem like it would be casually thrown out there. That's very, very specific. If it bleeds, it leads. He was relying on a ton of former players that he coached previously as a connection to gain information on free agents and he's also got a ridiculous headcount when it comes to his staff in general.

People talk. Either way you slice it. There's a lot going on in that organization right now and it's not good. Obviously.
I think we need him to stop being a head coach and go back to being a TV analyst.

He was terrible at that, too. He just needs to go.
I really really want Urban to be gone at the end of the season.

But Shad is too much of a nice guy to make that decision. We'll be stuck with him for a few more years. He won't leave himself and kiss that contract goodbye.
Urban is not the problem here. This team's past is the problem. The roster is rebuilding after being left with a lot less talent. This will take time.

Just stop with this bull [BLEEP]. Caldwell jumped started the rebuild last season. Whether you liked him or not, he set this team up to improve this season. This year should have been year 2 of the rebuild (not year 1), with a huge amount of cap space (most in the league), a franchise QB and 5 picks in the top 65 to build on with 9 total picks.

Instead, Urban didn't do much of anything with the $$. We have no clue what we have in this year's draft class because they wont play them, for whatever reason and now a franchise QB who is struggling because Urban and Baalke failed to do anything to help him. They actually made this team worse, which seemed like it should have been impossible to do, but they somehow managed to do it.

Urban is first and foremost the problem. I know you're a cousin of his or something, but stop with the delusion dude. Urban will never be successful in the NFL. He's a lost cause. He takes responsibility for nothing. He doesn't know anything about the NFL, the players, or what's going on with this team in general. He doesn't hesitate to throw people under the bus. When have you EVER seen a HC answer every question with "I don't know, you should go ask x, y, or z". News flash Urban, you're the head coach dumb [BLEEP].

Every year that he remains the HC for this franchise will be a waste of a season and a waste of another year of Lawrence's development/rookie contract.
He's a crappy pro coach. Simple as that. Promoted one level above his ability.
