San Francisco: Leonard Fournette
Chicago: Jamal Adams
I could see us selecting Johnathan Allen there at four. He offers too much value and versatility to our defense to pass up on. I think he's a better prospect than Leonard Williams was coming out of USC a few years ago when we passed on him for Fowler Jr.
Adding Allen into the line-up just creates a huge advantage as far as keeping players fresh. He can line up inside to relieve Malik Jackson. He can line up off the edge to relieve Calais Campbell, Fowler Jr. and/or Ngakoue when needed as well. Allen honestly reminds me of Gerald McCoy. Can't miss on this kid.
I think he's more like Alualu.
Alualu was nowhere near as dominate and talented as Allen was coming out of California the year he was drafted. Allen has made much, much more plays in the backfield and has taken on more blocking schemes in his general direction.
At this level he'll be more free and isolated into one-on-one situations to make more plays. If he's there and we pass on him like we did Leonard Williams we'll end up seeing yet another Pro-Bowl caliber player playing for a team like the tacks, Chargers or Panthers.

I'm saying OJ Howard. I get it that it's really high for him and I understand it's probably not BAP. But we don't need anymore interior D-linemen. Allen and Thomas are playing the interior...... I wouldn't be opposed to Adams or Hooker. But we already filled those needs and to draft a backup at 4? We need a skilled TE or O-linemen. If Fournette goes before us, I hope we can trade back....

They actually might. Word is the 49ers have taken a somewhat recent yet keen interest in Fournette. For the most part that his been passed off as a smokescreen intended to lure the Panthers into biting on a trade, however, it might be a legit interest for all anyone really knows.

I just can't see them spending that high of a pick on a RB when they already have Hyde. I could see them grabbing one later, but not at 2. They're more likely to go QB than RB
I said "Other" and take a trade with a team that wants to move up and look to stack picks. Stay in the top 15 with a trade down, pick OJ Howard/McCaffrey then you have two 2nd round picks to get O-Line and a DB.

If the 49ers stay at # 2, I think the most likely outcome is they will take a QB since no player at another position stands out as anything close to a clear cut option. This is assuming Myles Garrett is taken with pick # 1.
Troubling news about Fournette.Today they (espn) are saying teams may trade up past us and grab him before we pick.

Because the 49ers and Bears likely are trying hard to trade down, a trade certainly wouldn't be surprising.
