I’m kinda bummed that I thought he had already passed on.

RIP

I knew he was still alive but I can understand thinking he was gone already. He hasn't been in the news lately and was very old.

98 is definitely up there!
So few WW2 vets remain. I just read this morning that the last surviving officer from 506th Easy Company (the Band of Brothers) passed away recently at 99. We're living through the passing of a historic segment of humanity.
I like Bob Dole. Another Republican candidate for Pres taken out by the media.
He was a great political athlete
"Bob Dole doesn't like it when Bob Dole dies."

Yeah, he could have been a good president.
Had no idea he was a WW2 vet
I know the PC thing to say is that he will be missed. And I am sure that his family will miss him and he seemed like a good man. But, I shed no tears for him neither. He was part of that Republican group that surrendered to Democrats all the time. He was a RINO. He was politically weak and like McCain did terrible damage to the Republican brand. Slowly the old guard is dying out and politically speaking, I am not sad to see them go. They ALWAYS wanted to "compromise" with the Dems.. But their idea of compromise was giving the dems everything and getting nothing in return. The old guard always took the so called "high road" and while the dems were busy waging war the rinos were trying to find a way to get the dems and the media to "like" them. That is why you see so many older dems lamenting the fact that Republicans have changed. Because NOW WE FIGHT BACK. NOW WE KNOW WE ARE IN WAR and now we plan on WINNING this war. And the Dems hate the fact that they have an actual adversary. The Dems hate the fact that we have awoken, the dems hate the fact that we are no longer weak and care what the media thinks anymore...

Of course he did, who else would he endorse? Clinton? Biden? lol....  I voted for Bob Dole when he ran. But he was a RINO when he was in office. He did NOT fight the dems as he and most the so called Republicans should have. He was one of those politicians that wanted the left and the media to like him. You can't govern that way... He did not play to win...

As Ted Cruz and Ben Sasse showed us, no, you don't have to endorse anyone.
