What kind of twisted criminal hacks time card keeping software weeks before Christmas? We use this program at work and my company has us recording time for hourly guys manually. I know multiple retailers that use this software too.
We have 9,000 employees on this system. It's a mess.
If you're going to hack a system and hold it hostage for ransom, it's the perfect time.  I wonder how those affected feel about Bitcoin now?
It’s a mess we’re spending major resources to try and figure out how to pay our hourly workers can’t imagine this going in for weeks
redundancy and manual effort would render this not an issue at all, but that would require people not relying on a machine to do everything.

As we continue to attempt to centralize and automate everything, one outage becomes a crisis. Back in the day, we manually punched a timecard before starting our shift, and the boss would calculate hours and write paychecks by hand each week. It maybe costs a little more than paying some other service to do the work for you, but in the end, it might be worth the added expense to have your own personnel handle business.
Mikey your not operating in this century. My employer for example has 600 garages across North America it would be impossible to process their time cards manually and submit for paychecks. I don’t write paychecks for my employees at my store, nor should I, I have zero working knowledge of calculating their tax deductions, health benefits, 401k contributions or other payroll deductions.

Theres a reason most companies outsource payroll it’s a full time job managing that stuff
I do it the paper way. Been looking for some time now into other options to save me time and spend me monies. I was once confronted by an employee that bet me he could trim a tree better than I could. He can’t. I was really tempted to write “reality” on his check. But I reluctantly wrote it for his normal salaried wage. Man, I wish these guys could appreciate my humor. I m just too advanced for them.
