As we start to enter the last stretch for the playoffs, sadly something we dont need to concern ourself with, the AFC is looking crazy right now. So far us, the Texans and Jets are eliminated but every other AFC team is 7-7 or higher.

10 teams are currently 7-7 or 8-6 which means one W or L can put you in or take you out of the playoffs. Its kind of great to see the league so open this year and no team has looked a step ahead of the others yet which should make the playoffs a true 'any given Sunday' this year.

I like it. It makes the season feel competitive. It sucks knowing who the given champion team will be at midseason year after year.

Exactly. Theres usually one team with a crazy record like 13-1 who all but have home field locked up. Even the Chiefs look human this year and have like 4-5 teams just one game behind. Plus it makes the head to head tiebreakers so so important and no idea which ones will hurt/help you.
