I think it means he's trying really hard to make something happen, and as a result, he's forcing the ball to receivers that aren't always open.
He'll be better when he's on a better team. Right now, he's in the worst situation possible for a rookie QB, and as a result, he's trying to force things, and that leads to interceptions.
At least, that's my operative theory of the moment. It's always possible that he will be a bust, but I don't see it that way right now. To me, he passes the eyeball test, but he's just trying to force things. Which is understandable, given the situation.

3 games in which he threw 3 or more picks.

I hope Mr. Grooms is right, but I don’t know boys...
He's a rookie QB on a really bad team, with bad players and bad coaches. That's all it is. The other day, the Bucs lost all their starting WRs and RBs for various reasons, and as a result, the greatest QB of all time put up a big fat 0 on the scoreboard. It takes a whole team to have success in this league. Not just one player.

Agreed. 15 straight weeks with 1 or less TD passes is a cause for concern. The offense is pure stagnant. I hope they draft the best DE in the country and then go heavy on offense. Then go get a starting caliber secondary.

The stats aren't the things you care about with a rookie QB on a terrible team. What's bad is when you turn on the tape and the guy is stuck on read 1 (staring down guys) and forces balls into coverage and isn't scanning the field. Then you see the few times guys to get open and Trevor either doesn't see it or refuses to throw it, or its off target. Then when he does find a guy they drop the pass. TL has bigger issues than those stats. We can only hope he gets a great coach who really works hard with him to improve his shortcomings this next off season. TL has all the physical stuff, I think his mental has taken a big hit this year though and a good HC and some damn talent outside will aid his development.
