Yep.  Great quote!  But it begins "I distrust the extremes." He wasn't talking about ordinary liberals or conservatives, just the extreme ones.  Just the ones who wave it like a flag.

Also, I'm not offended at all.  I like communicating with people who have different opinions (most of the time.). You're the one who only sees red.
