I liked that he was introduced by Bruce Smith tonight. To me, it was the playoff game against Buffalo that Boselli convinced me that he would one day make the hall of fame. This was a playoff game, so there was no excuses of his opponent not trying. It was in Buffalo, so no home field advantage. Boselli as a second year player was tasked with defending Bruce Smith, the NFL defensive player of the year and a future hall of famer, and completely shut him down leading to a Jaguars victory. If any one game defines Boselli for me, it was that game.
I also think Bruce Smith is a class act for introducing Boselli as he is the one who got beat.

It's about damn time! I've said it before and it holds true today, I've seen Jonathan Ogden, Anthony Munoz, Joe Thomas, Orlando Pace, Trent Williams and Walter Jones all play football during my lifetime. Tony Boselli was the best OT I've ever seen play the game. He may not have had as long a career as those other guys, but in his short career, he was absolutely the best OT to ever put on an NFL jersey. This is not a "homer" statement, I believe it all the way to my soul. He deserves to be in the HOF. He is still my favorite Jaguar of all time.

Congratulations to Tony! He was a great Jaguar.

Added Hall of Famer Jason Taylor: "If they didn’t turn off the lights, he would still be kicking my [BLEEP]. There definitely needs to be room for Tony in it."
That is awesome to get that respect. And so cool of Bruce Smith.

I remember his first ever start-a night game in then Jacksonville Municipal Stadium against the Packers in week 4, because he was nursing a knee injury. I remember thinking he had a stern first test as he was going up against Sean Jones. He aced that test, absolutely dominating Sean Jones, and aced the overwhelming majority of his tests throughout his career. From shutting down Bruce Smith in 1996, making Jason Taylor eat his words and running smack of his own on Monday Night vs. Miami in 1998, to collapsing the entire right side of the Steelers' defensive line in 2000 as Fred Taylor rushed for 234 yards in Pittsburgh, he was truly a dominant OL. I'm glad I can say I saw him play in person. He is truly a worthy inductee in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
He spent the bulk of his career leading FT to daylight and enabling Jimmy Smith to work his magic on the go routes. Here's hoping he leads them into Canton next!

Congratulations, Boselli! Well deserved and so happy for you!

He is the biggest Jags homer but its genuine. Also great that he made Jacksonville his home

Congrats Boselli. Was starting to think it wasn't going to happen for him. Back when the LT was the 2nd highest paid guy on the team, Boselli was everything you wanted. Just a shame injuries cut his career short.
