I'm sick and tired of seeing this teams pass rush.. Not to mention Ivory not being here didn't help either.. But that I can understand that's a mrental thing.. I admit this team is just a pass rush away from contention.. Not gonna beat guys like Brady and Rodgers with that sloppiness..

How can you see this teams pass rush, if there is no pass rush?
There is no spoon..
They keep getting removed.

Exactly.
If they don't atleast bring him in on a 1 year deal then it's a fail.
All this defense lacks is a pass rush.
i dont have a problem with it.. anything helps..
Nope. Piece of [BLEEP] can stay away from my team.

I agree completely.
That nutcase has something truly wrong with him mentally… Fights with anyone on the team - coaches, players, anyone…
I remember watching a cowboys player try to calm him down and this nut job took a swing at his teammate.
Last we saw he was bad in Dallas after having a year off. Players don't just get back to being very good again after not showing anything for 2.5 years.
I hope Fowler becomes what he was drafted to be. The pass rush has sucked since 2006!

Might have been a bad fit, but he wasnt bad considering he missed 1.5 years, was on a new team, and still managed 6 sacks. His off year still woulda been a double digit sack season had he played the full season.
Let's sign a known woman beater so he can get us 5 sacks at best. Brilliant.

Eh, Hardy's not sitting at home because he's a bad player. It's his baggage coupled with his antics from last season.
I'd still roll the dice on Hardy since he's not getting any sort of deal where we'll be tied to him long term. Worst case is that he acts up midseason and we have to cut him with a little bit of egg on our face.
That said, if our pass rush doesn't improve in the next few weeks, I think there's a very real possibility Hardy will be signed. Dave didn't have him come and work out with us for a couple days just for kicks. They have a real interest in him as a football player, but would prefer our young guys step up to the point where we don't have to sign someone with his baggage. If that doesn't happen, I fully expect that Dave will make a move to improve the pass rush and signing Hardy seems like the most realistic option.

Would you do it if he could get us 15?
I think at this point, Gus would bring in Charles Manson if he could rush the passer.
Just curious, because I didn't wake up this morning to read that Greg Hardy was visiting Jacksonville today:
Does anyone think that "pride" can get in the way of signing Hardy? Did not signing him earlier signify that we were built, and had done our homework, and made all of the signings that we thought we needed to make? If the Jags were attempting to sign him now, does that indicate that they were "wrong" and had not been as prepared as they should have been? If so, it leaves room for speculation that the coaches erred in their judgement. And no one's pride likes to admit that. In order to save face, the Jags might want to say that they are happy with what they have now, and are just trying to get guys to develop. Or, they could admit that they were off in their calculations, and sign Hardy, and try to win a championship now.
