He’s currently at 5 Pro Bowls and 3 All Pro seasons with a Super Bowl ring. He has 2 more years until he turns 30 years of age.
Deion Sanders had 8 Pro Bowls and 6 All Pro seasons and has 2 Super Bowl Rings.
If Ramsey ended up with 7 Pro Bowls, 5 All Pros and a ring would that be enough?
Why are we still talking about this dood?
Please move to the NFL forum. Not sure why it posted here.
And why are we talking about it in the Jags forum?

He'll never be able to hold Deion's jock. Or Revis's. Or Woodson's. Or Blount's. There is not a Ramsey Island. I don't know if he's better than Jaire Alexander now. Or peak Gilmore. Peak Sherman was better, too. He's very good, not great. His "greatness" is a product of the media hype machine.
But, yes. I think he makes it to the Hall. I would hope not first ballot. But at this pace he surely makes it in.
Omg get this off my jags page
He was embarrassed multiple times in the playoffs lots of people saw it he's gonna have to prove he isn't just hyped up. Don't get me wrong he's a solid CB but not HOF.

Ramsey is a better player than Revis. Revis was a shutdown corner for like 2-3 years then fell off. Get out of here with your bias. The only guy you mentioned that i cant dispute is deion, Blount played in an era of running the ball. He would get eaten alive in todays nfl.

And yet Ramsey keeps getting exposed in big games. His softness would have been demolished in Blount's day.

Ramsey isn't close to Revis level. Ramsey gave up 165 yards in the SB alone.

Well… I think you can take off that 75 on the Higgins play. Unless you are biased, but that was not on Ramsey.

Yeah. Higgins got away with one.
He's been a pretty damn good CB considering the pass happy era he's played in. I think he's already a hall of fame player. Unless he just falls off a cliff after this year. It'll be interesting to see what he ends up doing once his contract expires in L.A though.
He's had the advantage of playing on two solid defensive squads overall in his career between Jacksonville and L.A. I want to see him get signed up by a team that has a defense stuck in a mire overall. I want to see what he can do on a defense that lacks a dominate front four or a stocked front seven.
I don't like Ramsey as a person and I'm still a little bitter about how he left here, but the guy did what was necessary to get himself into a position to even be considered for a HoF ballot. At least he has a ring now, something that would have never happened had he accepted his fate as being drafted by a perennially bottom dwelling team. Ramsey is an [BLEEP] hole, but on his way out the door he swung the spotlight around to expose how our dysfunctional front office, and ownership, was robbing this fanbase of a team that could at least be competitive. Although his intentions were completely self-serving, Ramsey matured this fanbase into one more vocal for change.

I don’t think he’s a hall of famer right now. But I’m with you on wanting to see him player for a team without all the super stars.

Ramsey has gotten away with a bunch off [BLEEP]. Do you go back and add all the yards on that he got away with on PI? Unless you are biased

I wouldnt even say solid, 2 great defenses. Remember the Rams made it to the SB without Ramsey and won it inspite of him. With that said he is a really good corner but not a HOF caliber type player.

I really like the way you worded this. While I don’t think he is a great as some others do, I don’t want my bitterness and dislike for his exit and his personality to color my evaluation of the player.

no, but I don't have a vote.
probe owls are fan vote popularity contests, take those out of consideration.
I think the best comparison in modern day would be Darrelle Revis. Revis 1000% should be first team, I don't care about stats or accolades. When you faced his team, you planned away from him or risked getting burned. I don't see teams with that level of fear toward Ramsey.
He talks a mean game and is his biggest fan, but when it comes down to it, he was scorched in that SB and has a reputation for taking plays off and not being able to play through injury.
There are a LOT of good corners over the years who don't even get a sniff at the hall. Ramsey's best attribute is his self-promotion. That's not enough.

oh good gravy, could you imagine the induction speech?
Pointing to all the gold jackets in the audience, "You trash, your coach was trash, you trash and your old WR trash, you good, but I coulda took ya if we played, you trash, all those other guys in the hall's trash, RIP (looks to sky, crosses self), and Canton trash too." /drops podium since mic is affixed to it

I have a feeling you'll see that when Donald hangs em up.
Miller's already gone, their window may be closing within a year or two. Can Ramsey get it done if there's no pass rush?

...you could say he turned the fans into a bunch of clowns.
