Love this signing. Was one of the biggest needs on the team. Damb good corner with a championship pedigree

Heck yeah. Man we are playing to win again. I like how aggressive we are being.

I mean, just watch the 3 guys move and it's pretty obvious to me which one should be playing the position that requires the most lateral movement.

This should be a good signing. Thanks Trent

Because Darious Williams has the skill set to be a winning level Nickel / Slot CB and has a track record of being an effective Outside CB despite only being around 5'9", this versatility probably is a key factor in why the Jaguars are signing him as an UFA. Injuries are inevitable. Having a player who should be more than capable of contributing on moment's notice at all of the Jaguars CB positions, greatly adds to his value. Good addition for the Jaguars.

I normally hate midget CB's, but I saw games where Williams actually outperformed Ramsey. He is one of those rare players that plays much larger than his actual height.

That's a very offensive word, please do not use it.

Right, but Williams is now arguably the best CB on the team. I wouldn't stick my best guy inside, just because nobody else fits there.
I'd like to see Williams and Griffin on the outside with rookie at nickel. Campbell can be depth or maybe transition to S and take winger's spot, put him in a position where he can see the ball easier.

I'm Loving this signing of need to say the least. Get him out of the shadows and see exactly whom he is at the position.
Time Will Tell.

Darious Williams has the IT Factor, yet he seems much more humble and in control than the more physically gifted Jalen Ramsey. Williams' ball skills, recognition(including preparation) tackling, reliability, and confidence (not cockiness) are combined reasons why I also believe he's an exception, not the norm for short outside CBs being an asset at the position.

Even with everything you mentioned, which I respect, Darious Williams provides the Jaguars with more Game Day roster versatility. One overall unit on the Jaguars that should benefit from this in at least some games, is the Special Teams Unit. Even if Williams isn't used much or at all on Special Teams, a higher caliber Special Teams player at another position could be kept on the Game Day Roster in some weeks, because Williams should be more than capable of playing Nickel/ Slot CB in a pinch.

Best FA add for the Jags this season.
