Didn't hear about Mayfield yet. That's odd. Figure he would have been bundled into the Texans trade.

Welp, the brownies are back to their factory of sadness ways.
Losing those picks is gonna kill everything they were building.

Supposedly he wants to be traded to the Colts.

I hope they trade Baker to the Seahags. He's been mediocre lately, but he's a gamer. I could see him catching fire under Reich.
Man, the AFC has a murderers' row of young talented QBs now. I was hoping Watson would be playing in the NFC.

I think the Browns regret this trade. It sucks because the Texans will have a ton of future 1sts

Even worse: What if he is suspended the first third or quarter of the season? The Browns can't afford to get behind the Bungles and Ravens early or it's basically lights out. It's gonna be hard to be a wild card team next year outside the stacked AFC West.

He could catch fire with Indy behind that OL (LT excluded) and handing the ball off to Taylor.
He has no receivers in Indy though...at least so far this offseason.

Texans got a 3rd and a 5th also

As for the picks, they got a lot to be sure, but there's still no guarantee they do anything with them.
Just like the Colts didn't get maximum value out of that trade down a few years back, the Texans still have to make good picks with them.
If they had Smith still as their GM, I'd be more concerned.

Yeah this is all in for them just like the rams did with their qb last year. They will worry about the future in the future I guess.

Watson is arguably a top 5 QB. And he’s still super young.
The only drawback to this deal are the 22 civil lawsuits. Still not sure what the league does here but my guess is the Browns don’t do this deal if they were worried about it.
AFC North and West will certainly be interesting this year. Jags will need to win the division to make the playoffs I think.

Yeah this deal will bring the Browns a ton of negative publicity overall though. He has literally 20 accusers. It will be likely for more details to come out. Not a good look for a league that otherwise has become very image conscious.

Interesting decision. Copy cat leauge. L.A gets lucky with Stafford. It'll be funny when Wilson and Watson barely get to .500 and Locke and Wentz end up as 6th or 7th seeds. Sounds funny. Just seems like it's going to happen.

How many games will he be suspended this season?
4? 5? 6?
Cleveland is banking he's the final piece of the puzzle for them - or damn near the final piece anyway.
If they're wrong about that - they're about to have a hard time acquiring the final piece(s)

5 years 230 million 100% guaranteed...with only 1 million of that in year one. Watson is fairly concerned about a suspension if he demanded his deal be structured so that he only loses a tiny bit of his money if he is suspended for games.

While talking to my 28 year old daughter this evening she commented how upset she was DW was getting $230M despite being sued by 20+ different women for sexual assault. In 2021 he was paid his full salary while being inactive for all games. I didn't have any reasonable response to explain the rationale other than winning is more important than what is right., or legal, or civil.
I did mention that men's behavior in all professional sports could be scrutinized and, undoubtably, countless others could be held responsible for irresponsible behavior. How do you feel about this? How would you explain this to your wife or daughter?
If I go back to my college days many of my friends felt if a girl came back to your apartment that was consent. Granted that was a different time, the 80s. Still, How can the Browns fans justify this mve? Is winning that important?

I really don't think Watson is worth it. His accuracy is suspect. His evasiveness and arm are great though.
