The afcs is the no one else wants them division. Indy didn't fit in the AFC east, either. They really belong in the central and the Ravens should be in the east with the dolphins in the south, but the NFL realignment wasn't about fixing bad regional distribution, it was about evening out the division sizes by moving the unwanted teams to their own division.

Exactly. Spot on.
It was like they set up the divisions, and then they said, "Okay, who's left over? Make that the AFC South."
It's the leftover division.

Shad Khan?
misguided and poor at decision making, but by no means the worst. At least he doesn't pinch pennies or fail to make the stadium experience more than just a few bleachers and pee troughs. The others are more terrible humans than necessarily bad at their "job", my rankings are more based on "If this were my team's owner, would I be embarassed, and for what reason(s)?"

I live in Maryland and the Jags play at FedEx Field this year. I can't even bribe my Commanders friends to go to the game because they don't want to give Snyder any of their money. Not to mention, he built FedEx field in one of the worst places because there is no public transit there. He's just the worst person.
When he gets arrested for taking too many pills and drinking and driving and putting people's actual lives at risk... I may agree.
Irsay is a garbage person that doesn't deserve money.
...that arrest was 8 years ago, and do you feel the same towards players who get arrested for DUIs, busted for possession, and the like?
If he's either managed to keep clean or hire a driver in those 8 years, I'll give him credit for learning from a terrible mistake.
Compare him to someone like Snyder. It's not even close.

We are a division comprised of the "leftovers" from the tradition rivalries that were deemed unbreakable when expansion and "redistricting" occurred. Everyone else had history, we were all newbs that nobody really cared about.
before the realignment, ATL was in the NFCw and Tampa shared a division with Chicago, Minny, DET and GB, so it was just as screwy before as it is after.

What has Snyder done?
Has he been arrested? Then he hasn't done anything according to the laws of our land.
Jim Irsay? He's a pillhead that's never stopped and you can tell if you listen to him speak.
I feel the same towards any player, any person, really.. that would waste their money on pharmaceuticals then drink and drive... unfortunately innocent people are the only ones that ever get hurt from these entitled [BLEEP].

How much time you got?
- banned signs inside the stadium, notably while the team was awful, squelching fans ability to voice displeasure with the team or its owner.
- dug in his heels over the team name, and only when sponsors severed ties and retailers stopped carrying their merch did he decide to explore the name change. This also led to the remaining minority owners seeking to sell their stake in the team.
- so many terrible personnel moves (spurrier, haynesworth, ancient Prime, etc)
- this nugget, from the team wiki:
Quote:a year-long independent investigation into the team's workplace culture under owner Daniel Snyder, led by lawyer Beth Wilkinson, was concluded in July 2021.[80][81] It found that several incidents of sexual harassment, bullying, and intimidation were commonplace throughout the organization under his ownership.[81] The NFL fined the team $10 million in response, with Snyder also voluntary stepping down from running the team's day-to-day operations for a few months, giving those responsibilities to his wife Tanya.[81]- in his loyalty to the almighty dollar, began charging admission to training camp practices. (Doing so allows every team permission to attend and scout practices, which is why most teams do not charge)
Here's a pretty detailed list of his exploits.

Quote:A Congressional committee is expanding the scope of its investigation into the Washington Commanders and is primed to use its subpoena power to delve into the finances of the team and owner Dan Snyder.
At least one person familiar with the team’s financial health was already interviewed by committee investigators, who are now exploring whether the Commanders used “two books” of financial information that paint different pictures of the team’s money situation, sources with knowledge of the investigation told Front Office Sports.
The timing and number of subpoenas, as well as who specifically will be targeted, was not immediately known. FOS has learned some of what investigators are seeking through a series of interviews, most on the condition of anonymity, for fear of retaliation or because details of the investigation have not been made public.

As a former Baltimorean, the Irsays are terrible people. Bob Irsay lied to Mayor Schaefer about moving the Colts. He lied about playing football at Syracuse. He lied about being in the Marines. See a pattern? BTW, he made his money by abandoning his family’s HVAC and stealing all their customers. What a guy. Both he and his son were drunks. Junior was also a steroid-head and an avid user of recreational hallucinogens.
I rewatched Hard Knocks (episode 17) and it was so enjoyable to see Irsay experience the huge loss to the Jaguars. 7 Pro-bowlers and they list. Sh*t the bed. The Irsay family are all POSs.

I acknowledge that a lot of owners can be bad people, but at the same time not be a horrible owner. Bob was a swindler for sure, but the sins of the father should not necessarily stick to the son. Jim as an owner hasn't done much that is deplorable, excluding personal life decisions.
It's kinda like how there can be terrible people in the league, but they are good at football. Tyreek Hill comes to mind. Greg Hardy as well.

I replied to your statement, making no reference to the original post.
I believe your assessment is errant, Irsay is by no means the worst owner in the league. That statement stands on its own, embeds be danged. Your personal bias regarding his personal issues (IMO, mind you) is clouding your ability to fairly compare him to much more egregiously offensive owners in the league.
Would you care to speak to that matter, or are you gonna get hung up on a tweet?
